My plans, our plans I mean, are to ride Wayne on Sunday, staging at parking lot 3 just off of Rt. 33 up a steep incline to the top. Then likely ride parts of the Dorr Run Loop, Main Corridor to the Hot Dog guy and maybe a clandestine ride to the top of Big Rock. It's got a heck of an uphill comin' out of it though. Gonna be a blast, watch for two way traffic. Wayne this year finally made helmets and eye protection mandatory. So good, all the crazy four wheeler guys now have to wear helmets. It's almost like having your dad there yelling at you to "put on a damn helmet," only it's now a sheriff on a four wheeler and he yells with his ticket book.

Just got back from the Hanging Rock Dual Sport in Zeleski, Ohio last weekend. A Great ride, some awesome, challenging single track, lots of ruts, steep uphills and drop offs with ruts down the middle and of course loose rocks that roll and settle into rut always makes going down hill fun. We had a great cabin, great food, 9 husky's to demo by the title sponsor, an FMF trailer who also co-sponsors the series. These dual sports are a blast. I heard they had 280 riders in the dual sport class. I don't know about the accompanying Yamaha Adventure Ride series that coincides with the dual sport, but there were alot of those bikes as well. I'd say it was a grand turnout and I heard we beat last year's donation to the Zeleski Fire Department, which was $3,000 dollars. Good job to everyone that attended. Next ride, the Reliability Run on June 2 in Toronto, OH during the BSA Spring Classic motorcycle rally and swap-meet. There is also an AMA trials race at 1:00 on June second and both days feature adventure rides as well. wish I could figure out how to post pictures on this site. Here are three videos from the ride and one preview video featuring the the man, Bill Kaeppner. Enjoy!

Like last year, and too our disappointment, this event will only be a one day dual sport ride, however a 2 day Adventure ride. It's a pretty intense adventure ride from what i understand, just not my thing. I'm a dirt ball, I mean guy. So come on out and try and tame the Rock. You'll be pushed on the one day, Saturday, May 18th. It's usually wet, and it's always sticky, Southern Ohio slop clogging up every crack and crevice on your bike and gear. It can be a challenging event but a great one. It's stages at the Lake Hope State Park Campground, which we basically own for the weekend. There is cabins and tent camping available. Here is some more information:

I just changed my mind, the file is a JPG and I can't copy paste out of it, so follow the link above to the flyer which has everything, or go on our buddy Bill Kaeppner's website for more information. He's also the one that puts on the Nutcracker 200, another great Southern Ohio Dual Sport. Also, half of all the money taken in, plus a match by Kaeppner, goes to the Zelinski Volunteer Fire Department. Don't roll into town badmouthing any dirt bike riders, they love us and this event there. On Saturday, the fireman pressure wash our bikes for a modest donation, and they feed us too while we wait. Last year Husky had the trailer there and plenty of test bikes to ride, FMF was also there with a trailer. So come out folks, try something new if you've never done a dual sport before. If you have, then bring someone new! Yea haw!
