I have all ways drained the card and tank when i let the bike sit over time... do you guys take the tank off and drain the fuel out of the fuel injection bike?
 
After having to replace a fuel pump because of the bike sitting for too long with fuel in it, I drain it if I know it
will sit for more than 2 weeks.
 
I have never drained any bike that has sat for any amount of time. Never had a problem. That goes for chain saws, weed eaters and mowers. Its all a big tall tale. I doubt DMX153 had problems from sitting, from what ive seen its more about corrosion from bad fuel and letting junk get in your tank. Most pump fuel has some form of alcohol in it now which holds moisture.
