I’ve raced with majority of the 250 guys but the probably most memorable is when Nate trasher won the regional at Ironman during Covid and damn near lapped the whole field he was on another level.

That’s just how deep the sport is there’s top level amateur kids that are on factory teams that get beat by local guys who just don’t have any interest in paying all the money to race nationals when they can sweep up locally
