Come out and join the CTMX crew at the Ross County Fair next Friday August 14 2015 . Brought to us by the US Army. You won't want to miss this year's exciting bar banging action. Quad and Bike classes for everyone ages 4-60+. We will also have a Strider bike race for the little ones during intermission as well as a US Army Challenge! Are you Army Strong?
**All this and more at the Ross County Fair Grandstands Friday August 14th @6pm.

Also, CTMX is presenting the 2nd Annual Tough Truck Competetion the night before, Thursday Aug 13

Someone on the fair board needs to step up and say this is stupid. We have this great track on our property, lets feature it during the fair! Not a fair track.

There wouldn't be any parking if they used the normal track. All the spots will already be taken by the campers at the fair.

Is there a vintage class this year? I raced there last year, and my granddaughter keeps asking me if I have a race at that carnival this year!

Those campers park on the track do they ?

If you would rather park in the infield of the grandstands and push your bike from one side of the fairgrounds all the way over to the track through all of the thousand or so campers, then it might work. But you won't be seeing me there and I only live 15 minutes from the place! haha All those paved roads and hookups right by the track will be full of campers for the fair.

Damn, hard to believe that many people camp at the fair. Greene County fair does not get that many campers for sure.

Georgieporgie has all the answers. The fair is the largest camping fair in the state, I heard 1100 campers. The fair board has done a great job not only with the fair but also with the openness to allow the Chillicothe crew to build a great track on there property. I am sure that the fair track will be very nice, I believe that they know what they are doing.

Logistically it would never work to have it on the main track. We have to have the race within a certain time frame and lap times would not allow us to complete in a timely manner. Parking, admission and spectating would be a nightmare as well. Having a seperate built track at the grandstands works best for everyone. We typically have one of the nicer faircross tracks around so its sure to be a lot of fun. Hope to see everyone out there next Friday night!

Race the fair and then haul ass to Malvern? Count me out. As much as the boy likes racing the fair stuff, that is a ton of driving!

It shocks us how many people actually do this. We have several that do the Harford national on Thursday, Ross Co Fair race Friday and then head straight to Malvern Friday night after the CTMX faircross to race the north battle race. Those guys are hardcore!

If it was taken negatively....sorry? I didn't say they don't know how to build a track. Or that it would suck.

Just doesn't make any sense when they have a perfectly good track already built.

If that many campers are there. Makes sense. I've never seen a fair with that many campers. Then again I've heve been to a fair with that number of hook up sites either.
