Pre event and random as you’re coming off the track for timed qualifying is all I’ve ever seen. Failed twice last year, once pre, one coming off the track. Lost fastest lap time. Actually best part was being parked by sound testing! Deegs failed twice. Entire Kawi team changed pipes watched a Yami fail with a stock pipe. The boys didn’t have a mandatory check but got tested for curiosity. They all passed. We failed a few times last year so this was nice!
