If you read the MXSports rules they actually define how long the regional motos are to be, weather permitting. Not sure if tracks really abide by that or not.

While "mostly" true, I've actually witnessed with my own eyes people getting turned away and refunded at a Regional for not having a high enough Alt spot from the Area. It all depends on how many people register. They used to cap them at 64 total Regional entries per class, now they upped it...

Well you technically said the same thing there LOL. A hard pack tire is made of soft compound...... But if you ride on nice loamy tracks, sure you want intermediate-soft terrain tires. Come ride some northern blue groove with a hard terrain tire and you'll be amazed and how well they hook up...
