Ahhh, well no wonder I didn't attend it! I was thinking this was some midwest thing that I somehow overlooked!

Good to see some nice old rusty stuff being enjoyed across the pond. And apparently it rains in places other than Ohio...

Farleigh is a great race but not really vintage. PV though if you're into that.

Also note that the competition is Freakin Fierce. Friends have done it and you'll be competing
against Ryan Hughes and such.

Have any contacts over there? What are you going to do for a bike?
So I do have contacts, family and friends in the UK, I was born there, still have a UK passport.

So really two options find a UK bike to either borrow or buy & sell. I think the best concept would be to find the right UK guy who has a few bikes, like most of us and offer a swap. Ride one of his bikes at Farliegh and then offer one of mine at Unadilla, Diamond Don's, or Mid Ohio what ever his bucket list item was. Makes perfect sense to me.

Second plan would be if there a 4 or 5 Buckeyes that want to go we ship a container with bikes, gear etc. more expensive and a hassle but very doable.

I've looked into shipping options and it wasn't cheap....about $1300 round trip for my KX. I did find this EVO MX pre 1985 series that also races Farleigh annually in August http://www.westmidsevo.co.uk/ . I believe it is run in conjunction with modern bikes, but seems to have a pretty good following. There is an FB page for the series too. Message some chap and ask if we can rent a few ready to race bikes for a Farleigh weekend. I'm seriously considering going next year if anybody else is game. There are several reasonable lodging options in the area (mostly B&B) and Heathrow is less than 2 hrs away.
