So I've actually seen the race posted on social media already...rare. Lots of stuff saying no pitriding or practice starts.

With the new sx track, why not banner off a practice start area. A place where riders can go down before a moto and rip off 2 or 3 starts just to get the jitters out and head up for their moto?

The reason is we cannot manage the area and inforce the AMA rules
C. Practice Regulations 1. Practice or warm up is limited to the designated area identified by the organizer. Competitors riding, or allowing their motorcycles to be ridden, outside these boundaries will be excluded from the meet. 2. Organized Practice Guidelines a. On the day of meet, only current AMA members are allowed to practice on the race course. b. Riders must sign waiver of liability when entering facility and all required registration forms signed prior to being permitted to practice or race. c. Riding is only permitted on the course during scheduled organized practice sessions. d. When organized practice is offered, rider must only be on course with their designated group. e. A rider must only ride on the race course in the same direction as determined by the referee/official.

Why not? Simply designate a practice start area and you comply. It will be far safer than the 800 kids riding pitbikes all over the place lol

We just don’t have the manpower or the ability to have every rider show their ama card every time they want to practice a start.
Plus the area you are referring to is for primitive camping. We are not allowing pitbike a this weekend golf carts and UTV’s due to the pit bikes flying thru the pits, going off the property and doing damage to other parts of the fair grounds and other peoples property.
