Who’s all going to Chilitown this weekend for the qualifier? Gonna head down Sunday and try to qualify in 30+. Haven’t ridden there since 2021, but track looks the same almost. Just gonna wing it off of 3 laps of practice and hope for the best. I’m usually a good starter, so if i can rip a holeshot i think i can lock in on top 9.
 
I’ll be there Sunday for collegeboy and pro sport. Track is the same since they redid it a few years ago hasn’t changed at all. When I went to IL this weekend I did the same thing show up ride three laps of practice with so many damn people ended up jumping the biggest jumps first lap of the moto cause so many people were in front of me in practice
 
Thats exactly what i had to do at sunset but only 2 laps of practice lol. Its kinda bullshit because each day is supposed to be its own individual race day. At these areas, alota guys who race Sunday only are not coming for a Friday practice.

It’s cause all the dudes who ride Sunday only have real jobs. I’m not taking off for regional practice either I’ll go with my 3 laps of practice. I do feel there is some sort of skill to being able to learn a track fast. I remember when I was younger I never really practiced just straight weekend warrior and raced so it was go out and learn the track in 3 laps every weekend
 
Oh i know. Im just saying because each day is its own individual race day, they should be doing 4 laps of practice. Not having guys taking chances huckin 100 footers on the first lap lol
 
i was gonna take off Friday to go practice but it ain’t that deep. If i qualify for regionals, I’ll go practice that Friday and take off work. Or maybe ill just run the 3 laps of practice in the AM, its redbud, ive been there a few times. How is their prep for regionals? Am i going to need a mx14, or will i be okay with the starcross 6
 
I stick with 34 at Red Bud. Im anti sand tire.

Itll be a mud hole for practice and there will be land mines around the entire track by noon and they'll do everything they can to not touch it all day.

I agree with him on this one I’ve ran both mx 14 and mx 34 and by far the 34 is so much better. The track once it get beat in the 14 is too much and has zero grip on the edges which I hate it’s super unpredictable. Track gets insanely rough way rougher than the national. Chuck holes and ruts everywhere. All I gotta say is once you commit to a rut your stuck you ain’t moving especially in the bottom corners before the table those s corners you’ll be in a rut from the straight away all the way through those two corners gets gnarly
