B-cliff

I have ordered all the sun and wind that can be supplied. I'm waiting on a the final pieces of the puzzle here, but I'll release a little bit for ya. The first scheduled weekend is April 2-3rd. We have an boat load of stuff to do before then, and its a sloppy mess right now anyway. Honda of Marysville has signed on for two Honda Demo Days! Monster is considering three days this year, two for sure. KTM is in again. Just ran into Mark Hyde at besty buy, ironic. Working out deals with Huntington Bank on the First ever Great Briarcliff Games, and possibly Sports Cycles is trying to get the Yamaha Semi, and/or Polaris to do demos. Lots of activity this past week.

I spoke with John Dains of Trackside software. We are set on buying the transponder scoring system, we just need to finalize the deal, and get it shipped. I got a quote for lumber to put up 1200 feet of fence, just waiting on funds to seal the deal.

The biggest question mark is the weather, so everyone keep doing a dance for ol' blazy and ol' windy to do their thing, and we might be able to bust a ride out before April.

Jo is the man. Always looking out for us riders. The motocross community greatly appreciate you and your crew for all of your hard work! Cant wait for April2-3rd!

Oh so close! The boy and I are ready. If ya need any help with things let us know. By the way, Jack has not forgot that you owe him a ride! You told him if he smoked em at the AMS indoor you would let him rip. May have been the beer, but I didn't remember. Five year olds, they remember everything but what you tell them to do. Matt.

Beer or not, I will honor my claim. I will have a pass for him when I see him next.

No need for a pass, I knew you would honor it. It is a privy to ride at such a fine estate. I just thought it was funny he brought it up outa nowhere. Transponder scoring system? hmmm...

Offer Go Pro rentals.

Figure out what size memory cards will work best, and work that cost into the rental so the renter keeps the memory card, or discount the rental if someone brings their own memory card.

What better way to promote your track than to have videos being posted all over the place?

Pit - I have contemplated that the last two years. Biggest problem how easily you can screw up the recording process. If you get the buttons reversed, or if you hold it too long it will take a zillion stills. Plus, if someone rode allot, i dont think the batteries will last. I like the idea, just not confident in the product.

have you talked to gopro about it? worth a shot tell them your concerns.. i bet theyd send you a couple to demo... just an idea

Jeremy, quit looking at everything half empty!

You know the real answer is "OMG, that is AWESOME! I can even paint the camera bodies orange to match KTMs better! People will be so happy riding here, we can make them run off of pure joy -- no batteries needed! Happiness starts from within!"

Anyway....the new GP's have rechargable battery packs and they just introduced the battery extender pack. The camera would last long enough to fill up a memory card, and that would be the rental time. As for confusing buttons, no biggie there I taught sharc how to run it in about 10 seconds.

OK, so I'm out in the driveway wearing my Tighty Whities. Got my Aluminum foil sun cap on. Wearing my best Catchers Mitts on "both feet". safety Goggles are on perfect, And sun dancing my Heart out while singing the windy wind song at the top of my lungs when along comes a County Sheriff Officer.
He interrupts me and asks, "What the H3LL are you doing"?
Isn't it obvious! I replied, I'm dancing for good waether for Briarcliff.
"Before I could thoroughly explain" He's all like chasing me with a billy club telling me I'm going to be arrested for indecency and what not. GEEEEZZZ doesn't anyone ride motorcycles anymore...

I'll call Go Pro. I like the battery solution. I'll talk my other issues over with them. I just dont want people renting these things, and then feeling jipped. Even if they screw it up. Thanks for the advice!

I talked to Go Pro, and they said that our hours of operation, they would recommend the HD Naked:http://gopro.com/cameras/hd-hero-naked-camera/

It will accept the bacpac battery to extend the battery life. He said you should see 4-8 hour of record time with a 32gb card, pending on the quality that you record on (720p vs 1080p).

He also said that you can set it up to where it is in single click mode. So that when you you hit the power up button on top, it instantly starts recording. So just turn the camera off to stop recording. I liked that, but he warned me that it will screw other people up that are used to using both buttons. I'm probably over thinking this.

Anyway, a salesmen is supposed to call about quantity order pricing. I'm thinking 10 to start. I guess sell what kind of deal their talking.

Nevermind, nobodys gonna rent those for the price of a 32gb card!!

Glass is less than half full now, its almost empty.
