Finally pulled the trigger and picked up a 350 on saturday.

Don't bother posting telling mei shoulda got the 2 stroke lol..part of me still knows that =P

First time ever buying a KTM..3 years ago woulda said no way ever. Must say I am so far impressed. The fit/finish and quality of everything really does seem very nice. Maybe its just because I haven't owned a new bike in a while.. but idk. Notice lots of little things I like. Hopefully it holds up well. Even little stuff like the manual just seems better!! Plus that tool kit is pretty handy lol

i got it from five star in PA and was also impressed. nice shop and everyone was cool. gave me a good deal and everything went smooth. definitly check them out if your at all interested in a KTM!

i bought one this winter also i tried to get a ktm 250 two stroke but waited to long my dealer ordered 6 only got 3 i like my 350 ktm is good about standing behind there products if you have any problems
 
When do I get to ride it,I've been wanting to try a 350...you owe me a few rides!

let me do that a few times first lol. worst part is that when i finally commited to buying the 350 i found 2 250sx's.. made it such a tough decision.
 
Congrats on the KTM....nice machines.
The Austrians think a little outside the box so read what the factory puts out and talk with the shop techs for advice....Do NOT listen to message boards.
You can get all the factory manuals on CD inexpensively and that makes things a snap.

worst part of all this is i cant even ride it for a while still, so i have a lot of time to sit around and buy stuff i reallly dont need for it already :(

sharc, it was at bentleys in PA. they had a few ppl behind me on the list though.. i wouldnt doubt if it was gone that same day i got the call

shes looks just like all the ones that pop up on the google lol

really only ordering cosmetic stuff for now. and different bars.. the stock bars feel wide. are about .5" wider than my yamahas. i noticed that when i rode one before i got hurt.

going to get a diff rear sprocket too... other than that ill wait until i can actualy ride then probably get an FMF system and change the mapping and im done.

That's what they make hacksaws for. I cut down all my bars slightly to the width I prefer.

yea always an option.. but i wanted black bars anyways and sponsored by pro taper so.. ill just hang the renthals in the trailer for back ups or ebay them or something.. id probably ebay them for more than what ill pay for my pro tapers. and hey i got nothin but time unfortunately :(
 
Nice! Im actually hoping there will be a KTM ride day at one of the closer tracks this year. Maybe OIR would have one? Im curious about the 150, 350, and that nasty looking 200 that I saw in the 150 post i think..think it was MX955's old bike? I know close to nothing about them. Been on Yamaha for quite some time now. Did you ride it yet? Im assuming so bc the mention of the RAM JAMS and rear sprocket change...I've thought about trying to get one maybe down the road.
 
The worst part of owning a KTM is going back to anything else and having to access the air filter. I LOVE KTM's take on air filter access. The hydro clutch is really good, too.

Hope you have a chance to get it dirty sooner than later.

I had an 03 250SX (the one year MC said they were too fast) and a 00 520SX. I am sure I will own another Pumpkin before I call it quits.

After I ride one at a demo day. I want to try out all these ktm's. I might go the 350 route as well. I've always been interested in those, I think I could turn better lap times on a 350 because of the power difference.
 
Niiice! Yea, we know Mike "The General" Patton and Phil at Five Star in Saegertown, Pa. and they are awesome! Bought a few bikes from them myself. Hope you heal up real nice and look forward to seeing you up a Dirt World in a month or so. How long will that line be to ride that new bike? Allen would love to swing a leg over that bad boy!! Congrats!
