Cocr

First COCR race of the season is just over a week away! March 27!!!!!!!!! March 26 we will be having an open ride benefiting Mike Lewis! Please come out and help raise money for a great guy who's been around our district taking your pictures for over 30 years!

This open ride is not included in our series credits nor does it pay the 10 points that our series open rides pay.

The only series open rides are July 23, Oct 22, Oct 23. These 3 will count towards the 6 event minimum you need for the Integrity Racing COCR series end awards

Mike was seriously injured at an event last year when a riders bike got away from him and struck Mike. I dont know the exact date or what track it happened at. Mike had to spend an extended amount of time in the hospital and also with assisted living. We would like to have a good turn out to help Mike!

Thanks mooch, sorry to hear that. Been buying pics off Mike since the early 80"s Hope hes doing better and will try to make it to cocr this weekend.

Hey everyone, time for a track update: everything runs and we have a dozer coming thanks to Tony Kilbarger. Track has been turned to collect this rain. prep should be primo! Come help us put on a benefit for Mike Lewis. It might be a little cold but we will build a fire. Which will give us all an audience at the fire, as we claim to have winter rust and thats why were all so slow. see you there Saturday. Later

Attention business owners!!!!!! THE OTHER PAPER has donated a 1/4 page ad to auction off for Mike Lewis! I time run, 1/4 page ad, posted in either THE OTHER PAPER or your local SNP (SUBURBAN NEWS PUBLICATION ). This is a $265 value! I will be taking bids until our race May 1. The winner will be announced along with the amount of money it raised for Mike during our riders meeting. If you win and are not there May 1 we will contact you to let you know you won. Any questions or to make a bid, email jstrick321@aol.com

I was at the track today and its lookin pretty good. Glenn Sparks is down there running the dozer currently so everything should be great. I'm gonna go ahead and say that "dust will not be a problem tommorrow". Its not too wet. Just right. There is a big puddle after the big triple but we will try to throw some dirt at that. Should be nice, the dirt is soft and should rutt up good. I'm gonna have some fun tommorrow, you should too! Come to COCR tommorrow and help us and Mike Lewis all at the same time. Bamm! its a two-fer. See ya.

Finished the dozer work around 10:00, there are a few wet spots but overall tacky and rutty. Should turn out to be a great day for practice and support Mike Lewis for all his years of service of taking our pictures. See you all tomorrow.................
Glenn

Open practice Saturday and race Sunday!!! April 30 and May 1. Were looking forward to another great weekend with some more goodies to pass out!

Its supposed to rain every day this week, doubt it for practice or race anywhere in Ohio this week........ Britt and I went down to Monster Mountain this past weekend 88 and sunny all weekend. We love the South.......

Think positive Glenn. There are no cancellations this year........at least that's what I heard.....lol

I hope the weather turns around, its getting expensive every other weekend going south. 1600 miles this past weekend, but well worth the time on the road to let Britt get her practice in.

COCR will not be having its open practice or race this weekend. Both days have been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We were looking forward to a great weekend but the excessive rain has caused the dirt around several of the culverts to wash out. We are going to have the track ready to put on a great event weekend for our May21 MX and May 22 GP.

The May 1 race will count as an earned credit, 1 of 6 event credits for all who are participating in the Integrity Racing COCR Series. That's a freebee!

As far as COCRs rule on canceling, we as a club have decided that the only way we will cancel a race is if it is under extreme circumstances, and then only if it is early enough to be posted on District 11, Facebook, pit racer, and Mafia riders. The culverts going under our track being washed out is one of those circumstances, we hope everyone understands, and we will see everyone May 21!!!

One of my sons favorite places. "Aside from some unfortunate incidents, I dare note speak of!!!"
Hope it turns out great, nothing worth doing is ever easy. I don't think anyone will miss the DITCH in the middle.
