iphone gps lap timer

lol no to my head for better gps reception. I am gonna buy a arm band thing that wraps around your arm that the phone sits in. I dont know if i will be able to try it tomorrow but i think ram jam may be to tight for it to work right. You have to set a marker where you want the lap times to stop and start and it uses gps so im not sure if i can find a spot in there where its not too close to another lane so when i am going the other direction it does not get confused and restart the lap. I will see. I know outdoors it will be money.

i bought a bar mount for my evo to map my rides through the trails and attempted it at the track once..

turned out the mount was too flimsy and my phone wouldn't stay where i put it at all, was worried about it flying off the bars. an arm band or something similar would probably be a better idea.

yeah it hard to say it may work in there. There are windows up top on th eone side. I think it will be safe on my arm unless its muddy or rain. I would be suprised if something hit it and broke it.

idk about the rest of you but after i come off the track i can see lots of red marks allover my arms/chest from roost

maybe i should quit being slow and be in front of people..that'd probably solve that problem :(

Stacy don't you wear a chest protector?? I agree though you never know when that next crash is coming, replacing bike parts is expensive enough! btw bars look good and I found a ktm bar pad, no yamahahahahaha for me! :p

hahahha maybe i gave you that on purpose. even tho i switched im still a yamaha fan deep down lol

but yea i do but its little.. and it doenst cover your arms.

you'll bleed orange by the end of the year....if not....you can give me your 350 (if i knew how to make a "thumbs up" i would insert it here)

I'd feel safer making a bracket and mounting it behind the front plate. Or in some other area where it has no chance of hitting the ground.

nah i didnt say put it on your air filter lol

put it in a plastic bag or something first then tape it in there or something

sounds like an awful lot of work for a lap time though.

It woulda been funnier if you gave someone your iphone to make a call to a hospital or family or something, and then they quickly offered to put your bike up on the stand and smashed the phone between their leg and your bike...

btw, have you rode your ktm yet?

just around the yard for like 3 seconds to see how the new bars felt.

picking it up tomorrow, got new springs and revalve... wont really have a comparison on that cuz i never rode it lol, but its one less thing ill have to do later. exhaust is coming too and probably will be on there before i get to ride it at all. so ill never know what it felt like stock haha
