SFF Fork Tuning?

Searched the interweb, can't seem to find anything. Anyone have guides out there with tips on help setting up the SFF forks? I'd have to imagine its different than what I'm used to.... or is it basically the same thing?

Tuning should be the same idea, just that you are only using the clickers on one of the fork legs. I believe you also can play with adjustable spring preload on the spring leg.

Same ideas apply.

yeah i guess im not sure what the preload adjustment is for and what that will do. I didnt look under the fork but I assume rebound is still down there.. i saw compression on one side up top and preload on the other.

From what I gather preload is similar to setting sag on the rear. Basically setting up the forks to work either higher or lower in the stroke. Then set your clickers. MXA December issue had a write up on the SFF on the new kx450 ,which is the same design as the RM if I'm not mistaken, calls for a starting sag of no more that an 1.5". Measure on the stand then on the bike with gear. Obviously you will need a 2nd set of hands. Check out the write up.

Your right...the MXA article is on the 250 not the 450....I just looked at the magazine.

ahh that sounds like what i was looking for. i will need to get my hands on that article as i havent found anything online...
