Found a new hobby. Wierd thing is I like it A lot. Rode 43.5 miles today with Kenny Henry. I'm dead tired tonight. Going to try to put in 120 miles this week.

Any of you yoyos ride road bikes ? I'm sure ck1 rides 100 miles a day.

500 miles on the mountain bike this year. Not a roadie yet though.

I've thought about picking one up for the rainy days. Hard to justify having one for each when I could just stop being a pansy and ride the "heavy" mountain bike on the road.

Road advantage - not weather dependent

Mountain bike advantage - almost as much fun as moto, not boring

Semics averaged 18mph yesterday in 38 mile. Wow. I need some leg muscle. I'm shot.

If it weren't for mx I wouldn't have a bicycle JO.

I'd ride a lot more if I had a better bike. I have a road bike from the 80's. It gets the job done, but there is no comfort involved and it is totally clapped out. I never know what is going to break. A good road bike is just super expensive.

I just bought entry level felt z100 and its doing me pretty well thus far. And from what I'm gathering the cheap entry level $750-900 bikes blow the old bikes out of the water.

You're getting alum frame with carbon fork. 22lb bike and for all the pissing and moaning about Claris components shifting hard--in my opinion it isn't bad at all, shifts well. Of course I've never rode nice component stuff. But I don't want to because then ill have to start spending big money.

What was the price tag on that George? I'm looking at a hybrid (road/cyclecross) bike that is around $1200.

If someone buys my snowmobile this winter, I'll end up picking something up.

I paid $760 out the door. It's a 2016 felt z100. Price tag is $819 msrp. And they fit me to the bike for free because I bought the bike. Fits range from $70-$160. And at first I was like that's dumb I don't needed fitted ill figure it out myself. Wrong. Hell me just moving my seat 5mm forward made a world of difference after my first ride.

But then I also bought Shimano clipless pedals for $39 and vittoria shoes for $139.

The bicycle hub in mentor threw in cage, water bottle and gave me 35% off accessories. So I spent around 1,050 total. This included riding shorts, helmet pedals shoes and bike....

15 miles is norm on a specialized bike. Average 12 mph. More than that my knee acts up. Canfield trail sometimes, and Warren to Ashtabula most of the time. It always seems uphill both ways. Like going to school.

Yup, started it a couple years back and totally hooked now. Strava will make you dope! Start riding some hills and come down and ride with me and Semics!

@Holeshotking31F I would probably have to ride with you guys on your recovery days! 18mph is FAST. I know its easier to maintain that in a small group, but still I feel like my legs would be burning. I'll try to gain some leg muscle over the winter so I can come out swinging in the spring with you guys.
