Selling my Yamaha MX80- had it since I was a kid.
Runs- havent started or rode it since I flushed the tank to restore it. Clearly i never got around to that.

Is that about a 1980? My daughter's first bike was a 1974 GT 80 I bought in about 1998 - nice and durable little bike.

You are right, there is some money room on this.

With a new fender and making sure it runs, one of the roving gangs of pit bike maniacs would buy that at Mid-Ohio and try to jump a Winnebago - or minimum a fire pit.

It is as much fun watching/dodging packs of 300lb beer soaked men ride tiny minibikes at Mid-Ohio as it is racing - somewhere between pure grit, determination, and maniacal insanity watching a guy try to wring the top speed out of a little bike that is loaded with the equivalent weigh of 5 8 year olds.
 
I had a 74 Yamaha GT 80. Yellow and black, with no lights on it. Wish I could find one just like it. Mine was identical to the one below.

That is just like the bike I found for my daughter. My daughter rode it for about 3 years before I sold it and got her a TTR125.
 
I learned how to wheelie at Shipps Wheelsport back in 82 on one of those, I bet that MX80 we sold as new had about 20 hrs on it. I had to hide from the owner in the corner for about week as I flipped it and bent up the rear fender. Ahhhh Good times
 
Had a 1974 as well. Remember dad buying it new at Reynolds Cycle Center on High Street in Columbus.
 
JT-1 or 2 Mini Enduro. I have one like that in about 100 pieces. Great Bikes, Frames bent easily.
