Will Trump make it? Government corruption?

*Disclaimer: Didn't vote in 2016 Presidential Election. Neither candidate was to my liking.*

Will Trump survive an entire term without being impeached? I'm a little ambivalent.

I could see him making it 4 years, but he is perpetually under assault (self-imposed at times). I could see him being impeached as well. Either way, I wouldn't be surprised.

There is an obvious faction (republicans and democrats alike) waiting to pounce on him for any mishap, no matter how serious or fictitious. To them, any mistake is a green-light to begin or at least consider impeachment proceedings.

What Trump has teased out of Washington Bureaucrats is their preference for the status quo. No matter how much they espouse "Washington is broken", anyone who imposes upon the customs and tradition of the government way of life is subject to cut-throat politics.

I'm most concerned about the politicization of government intelligence. Between the intel-leaks and leveraging the faculties of the intel community against a sitting president, is it anything other than naked corruption?

As the saying goes, politics makes interesting bedfellows.

Impeached for what exactly? For reference, a good overview of the history and process of impeachment:

http://www.heritage.org/constitution/#!/articles/2/essays/100/standards-for-impeachment

I will admit I'm not exactly privy on the subject of the supposed collusion between Russia and Trump

...but the fact that the media has paraded accusations- instead of evidence -of Trump colluding with Russia as their dominate headline since the election suggests that Washington is desperate for anything they could exploit in order to give Trump the boot.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was impeached on so little as a technicality! That is how eager I think Washington is and how little trust/faith I have in the government lol

Senior California democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein made this comment yesterday on Face The Nation:
"We need to depend on our president for truth, that is really important!".

What the Dems are really still p****ed off about on the Russia deal, is that it all exposed how corrupt the Democratic party is, and how they really operate. And this information was very effectively revealed at a very critical time. As usual, this is all a major push to rewrite history and the facts that existed as it happened.

The bad part is, they haven't and won't learn from the election defeat, and they continue this disgraceful spiral to the bottom.

Impeached?

Republicans own the house and senate. Won't happen.

Let (f)Ch(uck) Schumoron keep giving his fake tear speeches. I hope he gets an academy award this year for best actor.

Him and that other idiot. He wants nothing more than to pound in everyone's head that the election wasn't legitimate. Elijah Cummings....is that the idiots name?

Trump should just lay down the biggest conservative agenda in history if they're (D) gonna ride his ass. Flat tax. Repeal Obamacare. Everyday just hit the media with a new s**t storm of conservatism.

Where was the independent investigation into Ben ghazi ? Or Obama running guns ? Or....or.....the s**t list goes on. The people running our country are a special breed of a*****e.

The shifting demographics are concerning for the future. Millennials seem to be overwhelmingly liberal if not borderline socialist.

The media bias doesn't surprise. I'm saddened that people are actually taking it serious which gives it momentum.

That's why the impeachment chatter is concerning.

I was a lefty Lucy in college. Sociology and anthropology (mandatory classes mind you) just painted a terrible picture of the USA. Racism, greed, power.

I rememeber a lecture that was about "who needs a million dollar salary?" Odd....come to find out president of the university salary was just about that....

So millenails are indoctrinated in college. But hopefully they figure stuff out by the time they pay their first tax bill. That's kinda when stuff started to click. And the student loan repayments. I found out quickly the cost of college is not worth it.

But I work in the city. It seems to me the people that work and live in the city sway significantly left.

People that work in the city and live in a rural area are more to the right.

People that live and work in the rural are farther right. Maybe because nothing is free in a rural area...? Nothing is free in the city either but I don't think millenials understand how tax works. "Oh I get a refund every year I don't pay taxes..." lmao. Yes you do. Many are just blind. But at least if you wanna be blind in America you can be.

I hate the city. Absolutely hate it.

But the media is very good at making 100 people look like 90% of a city or the population of the United States. People in Europe think 10% of conservatives are holding 90% of the caring, nice and fair citizens of the USA Hostage.

If there's a riot that only contains 10 people the camera shots are zoomed in....God the plain dealer in Cleveland everyday has a hate article on trump." Trumps support very strong in Ohio but polls show that could change quickly." Or "repealing Obamacare a concern for most Americans, many may die." (Huh?!) They constantly inject stupid little bias statements that psychologically veer you towards hating the president. Good thing millenials don't read the paper and that business will be gone in 10 years.

I was coming back to work from the Doctor yesterday and was listening to Talk radio. There was a discussion about the Democratic leaders, and how they are now backing away from impeachment talk. There is some panic within the party because there are some individuals that have information that the Hillary emails and the DNC strategizing against Bernie Sanders information was leaked out from somebody within their own party, and was not info gathered by Russian hacking. It was an inside job.
And the murder of DNC employee Seth Rich is tied into this. The talk is, there is a smoking gun out there and a couple of high ranking party leaders have the knowledge and involvement on this.

Pretty good chance that things are going to get worse for Hillary and the party before it gets better again.

Keep dreaming. The media won't cover that story. And anyone listening to radio listens to that stupid cox and rover garbage.Entertaining sometimes but garbage radio. Sanders wife scammed a tOn of money out of a closed college in Vermont. Corrupt. Nobody gives a toot about that. Bernies first wife left him because he wouldnt get a job. First job was elected. Same with Chuck S. legislators with no real world experience.

Plus republicans won't press the issue. They never do. They won't stand in front of Fox News and drum up a fake tear.

Plus most republicans are just corrupt big government asshats that campaign on conservative views and then do nothing or change the rules in the senate to make it look like they can't do anything. They're all a holes. Every last one of them. Except for Cruz. But the media did a great job making him out to be a demon.

Bout the only form of government that you can keep tabs on a little easier is tour local government. The issues in my county and township are easy to follow. And you see that turnout counts. Nobody votes. 30,000 in my area eligible to vote where I live, 3000 show up. Past 4 years I've noticed locally 1200-1500 on either side of the yes/no vote. The entire school district votes and the elderly.lol.

There is more corruption than we can even imagine, especially with Hillary Clinton.

--> Example: How does the Clinton Global Initiative, within a few months of Hillary losing the election, go belly up? It had a net worth north of $1B! Where's the inquiry? That is news if I've ever heard it.

I have more distaste for Republicans who campaign on conservative principles and prove to be feckless, impotent liars.

At least Democrats openly state what they believe and intend on doing!

It went belly up because they spend money fast. And without large foreign central governments funneling direct deposits into it...they go belly up. No Clinton in politics, no money. That foundation will fill back up when Chelsea gets elected to a New York congressional seat.

At least Democrats openly state what they believe and intend on doing!

A good example is in Obamo's 1st campaign and he was against same sex marriage. And then after his re-election he was for it and helped push it through.

I think not.

Still no surprise. They'll do and shift stances as necessary in order to be elected.

The electorate continues to place Republicans in office but in our Post-Constitutional era the consent of the governed holds little consequence.

NQ here are articles from the lame dealer. I mean plain dealer in Cleveland today. Funny how it relates to what I was taking about yesterday. Republicans back down and won't press issues. Fox News pussied out.

Ever seen a liberal outlet do that ? Hahaha. "Oh sorry our anonymous sources were....not reliable? They been pushing bogus collusion Russia content since the inauguration. All BS. NOT ONCE WILL THEY PUBLISH THEY GOT NOTHIN. Yea they'll never do it." And Fox News ha... They're done. I cut cable. That channel sucks. It's turning liberal. Won't be long before Hannity gets drummed up with some obscene sexual comment towards one of the short skirted anchors. Only thing that is left to look at is kat Timpf. She's funny.

Here's another story making trump look terrible for sticking up for Israel and Christians.

Palestine isn't a country. It has no right to Israeli land. There is no 2 state option. Trump should back Israel 100% and tell the self proclaimed Palestinians (Arabs) to go back to Arabia. "Palestinians" have no desire for peace. They want to wipe Christians off the face of the earth. And Iran will help them do it.

Have you noticed local "news" media types now unabashedly pushing the over the top, Dem, daily, anti - Trump spin? The voters have rocked their world and they are vengeful like never before.

This country will continue to basically tread water until people (including elected officials) quit with this "liberal" vs. "conservative" crap. That's all I see anymore. Those two terms are about the dumbest things I've ever heard anyways. When you pick sides, you tend to become blind to the negative things. Happens on both sides, too. Then you get people calling others a "lazy liberal" or a "crazy conservative". Wait, so a guy votes for Obama and all of the sudden he's a lazy "liberal"? Maybe they just thought he was a well spoken and educated individual who would calmly lead the country through a turbulent time, no? Or maybe a guy voted for Trump because he simply thought he could clean up our finances? Doesn't make him a bad person or some crazy person.

It seems like most people on here are strong republicans, which is cool. It's kind of scary for me though to see the hatred that a lot of you have for people that aren't republicans or don't support your particular agenda. Hatred for news channels that don't report your agenda, don't support your people wholeheartedly. There are a lot of smart people in this country, but damn are we immature and petty as hell. That's one thing that I have no problem saying that Trump has done. He has brought out the worst in a lot of people by making immaturity and hatred okay. It would be pretty cool if all of these smart people could just come together and actually use their brains to talk through issues instead of picking a side and steadfastly sticking to it no matter what. Educated conversation can be pretty productive from my experience. Ahhh, what do I know anyways?
