Mid-Ohio Yamaha Demo Day!!!

I went to the bear creek demo this weekend and loved their 250f. Super easy to ride and don't think it's pulls any less than my 17 KTM 250 2 stroke. I also wouldn't bother wasting time test riding Yamaha 125s. I had my 08 KTM there and it was faster than the 125 that was out there. It'd be real nice to test their 250cc+ bikes out at a track like Briarcliff so definitely worth taking advantage of

I started googling 250 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke and saw the horsepower difference. 20% more hp out of the 2 stroke is hard to deny so I can't understand how the perceived power of the 4 stroke seems similar. I know for a fact I've been pulled down straights by 250fs in the 250 class but maybe it's just coming in at 200 lbs versus the other guys being lighter? Wouldn't have expected the 2 stroke to be that much better power wise after yesterday though but I also haven't rode the 250 in a while

So do they have multiple bikes in each size, or is there a lap or time limit, maximum? We are interested but don't know how this works. Any additional info would help.
Also, will there be riding going on other than the demo rides?

I was told its a judgment call on laps or time per demo, Jason said he usually shoots for 5-6 laps depending on the length of the track. My guess is that you will get 8-10 minutes or so.

Sweet!

@OSU85 horsepower doesn't mean crap if you can't keep the power to the ground. 4 strokes just got the grip man. Easier to ride, can be lazy and still fast. But there is nothing more fun than cranking around on a 2 stroke.

Demo taking place on the A/B track? I went to the KTM a few years back and it was on the C track if that's still around.

Today’s schedule is as follows:

Big track-Open riding at 11, tribute memorial lap at 12:55, prep 1-2, sessions 2-3:30, open track at 3:30-5.

C track-demo track - open session 11-2. Prep 2-2:30, open session 2:30-5.
