Moto-Vated Closing???

So you make a deal to sell the business but you don’t like what the new owner wants to do with THEIR property once they take ownership? Here is an idea. TOUGH SHE-IT.

I swear, some of the dumbass people in this sport piss me off. Then have the balls to set up a go fund me.... amazing

I don't quite understand the whole situation. Does the current promoter not own the land, only leasing it? If they already owned it wouldn't you just back out of the sale?

Sounds like they were leasing part of the property, the land owner is selling to a guy in Texas. This might be a last ditch effort to buy the property outright??

I agreed to sell my house but then the guy that paid me a bunch of money wants to paint the laundry room green... BUT he told me he would keep it the same...
For each $10,000 donation I will give you a lifetime membership to come do my laundry.

OMG I have to STOP reading about this. The more I watch / read the worse it gets.

I’d be in for $1,000. I’ll provide return shipping for my laundry.

Something's in life never change, its THE GOLDEN RULE.

The guy with the GOLD makes the rules.

Seems like the X/y gen folks think GO FUND ME is the answer, sorry about their luck its going to be a long hard life.

Work hard, spend less than you make, invest the rest and you will never have to start a GO FUND me page.

Damn I sound like my "old man"

Motivated is a hell of a facility. Lots of gncc pros go there to train. From what i heard the owners the run the track were in an agreement with a guy who owns a satellite racing team for husqvarna and he bought the land out from under them to turn it into a full training facility like club and gpf

Not sure what that cleared besides someone locking a gate and wanting to do something different with the land ?

So someone else bought the golden egg. Now they’re just gonna polish it ? And keep it for themselves ? This is America.

I can see why it was hush hush. They might of been able to raise the cash to buy if they woulda known. But that shoulda been there idea from day one. But I still don’t quite understand what’s really going on. That video didn’t really explain much. Heartfelt yea, but what happened ?

Sounds like he got the shaft, land lease expiring for his business he should have been forcing the lease issue 6 months ago. Delay and deny tactics from the land owner should have been setting off red flags he needed to get a lawyer. Little guy doing what he loved and got gobbled up by big business, hindsight 20/20 you can bet he is kicking his own ass for not asking more questions.

a man who is his own lawyer has a fool for a client

It would still probably be worth a discussion with an attorney that understands commercial leases, tenancy rights, etc. A lawyer could help him understand his options and there are potentially several. For example was the landowner dealing with him in good faith, did he continue to make improvements to the property relying on the promises of the land owner, what are the terms of his existing agreement with the landowner, is the new buyer paying cash? It might be a little tougher to borrow to buy a property if the legal right to occupancy is not legitimately settled or the property is tangled up in litigation.

This guy clearly has a lot of sincere passion and emotion wrapped up in whatever has happened. Seems like he needs to understand what, if any, remedies are available or negotiation leverage he has.
