what oil do i put in my crank case?

I don’t have first hand experience with an RM 85, but this is what I found……
<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:pHold the bike straight up and down - as if you were sitting on it.
Drain the oil.
Re-install the drain bolt.
Remove the oil level check bolt.
Slowly fill the crankcase with 10W-40 motor oil, until oil starts to drain out of the check bolt hole.
Re-install the check bolt & fill cap.
Start the engine and let it idle for a couple of minutes - to get all internal parts saturated with oil.
Turn off the engine and let it sit for a couple of minutes - to let the oil drip down and settle in the bottom of the crankcase.
While the bike is straight up and down, remove the check bolt.
Add more oil until it starts to drain out of the hole.
When the oil finishes draining - the oil level is correct - install the check bolt.
Check for leaks and you're finished.

2 stroke bikes I have always used ATF- type F tranny fluid. Never had a problem. It should be stamped on your engine how much to use also. Usually near the oil fill.

i run 15/40 in all my 2strokers.... 700ml what my sons kx85 take in the trans... dont know if the rm is the same....
