I have seen alot being around motocross for 40 years, but what Ive been witnessing at Smith Rd. the last several Weeks absolutely blows my mind. Like the shamers at Apple Cabin, can you please offer an explanation as to why YOU (KTM smilie face) cut the track 3 and 4 times a lap at Smith Rd.

On one occaision tonight I pass this guy 3 times in one lap????????? 2 weeks ago, I find myself looking for a way around this guy twice, 2 laps in a row!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????? I AM NOT THAT FAST.

This guy not only skips out on the infamous 6-pack every lap, he cuts corners way short, cuts on the wrong side of trees, skips gnarly rutted sections, will actually ride over tires that line the track, he has total disrregard for the track George puts out for the week. This guy actually (very slowly) beats in his own track.

What pissed me off the most is to see/hear this guy yellin at a female rider that had not been riding in years to "move over" or whatever. Who is he? The 2nd slowest rider on the track and he is yelling?????

If the ground you are riding on is NOT disced, you are cutting the track. Additionally, as George uses trees to lay out some of the track, not too difficult to determine which side is correct. Tires all of a sudden appear in YOUR line? Guess what.

Smith has a pee-wee track that IS better marked, does not rut up, has no "6-pack" ....
Problem I see for you there is YOU being passed 2-3 times a lap by the same pee-wee motocrosser as it is a much lower lap time.

Ride the entire track, no matter where we ride. You will become a better rider and make our day together much SAFER.

Anxiously awaiting your explanation. Notably from the KTM smilie face guy. You are old enuff to know better, you should be old enough to explain.

Way to flame. no reason to get that ticked off over some subtle detail. I don't know you personally, but I have a feeling of who YOU might be, what bike you ride, since I was told of a few incidents at Smith today of someone b***ing about similar things.. As for skipping the 6 pack there today, I was doing it, the whole 10 laps I managed to do on my boyfriend's 2-stroke KTM which I have rode only once before, not set up to me, hard to ride. Look at the things, I am not killing myself since I can barely manage to ride what I was riding to begin with. And unlike most people I saw there, Mr. "smiley face" actually looks before he gets back on the track, as does myself. He is a 50 year old man going back to work tomorrow. He does not race motocross, he races harescrambles. And don't even say to go find some woods somewhere, his 2 sons and a guest wanted to go there, so why can't he have fun?

There are 2 main reasons people go to PRACTICE TRACKS. One is to get better, the other is to have fun. Go to a race and run people of less skill level off the track alright? If it is such a big deal to George or any other promoter, then strictly make it to where there is only ONE place to enter, ONE place to exit, no place to pull off on the side, and split the practices for skill level (which I am sure most probably wouldn't mind). Seeing as there is some issue going on at AC this looks like something every promoter should do, like Crow. He is not some ignorant 14 year old kid pinning it wide open and then cutting in front of you after a jump..

I find it very offensive you are suggesting this man to ride a PW track. If that's the case I should be allowed to tell the freaking 50cc and trailbike kids to get the f* off and ride the PW track, they get in my way on my good days, everywhere. Yeah he holds up traffic, but what do you get on a track that had pretty much one line tonight. See, he was just trying to make other lines, and since you say his "eccentric, wrong side of trees (wtf?) lines were only from him, I saw other people using the inside "tree" line between the 2 singles a few weeks ago, the "inside of tires" line in the sweeper at the top of the hill, many people including myself (but wait there's tires there so it must be illegal). Grow some and mind your own business. You are letting someone else "ruin" your night for no reason. Because out of the 70 or so riders, he just happened to get in your way in every turn, every lap. 'big freaking deal'. You ever heard of lappers in a mx race? Unless you are sandbagging your own class the people who you are lapping, assuming they haven't fell, are probably no where near your skill level. And saying that most can't hold a line.

Sorry but if you think it's perfectly fine to get in a pissy race mode at the weekly practice track, you shouldn't be there. I've been there, it ruins relationships. For the past few weeks I been getting upset over not riding as good as I know I can. People look at you weird. Just as I am thinking you're a ** now.

Shouldn't the lack of number and the presence of a :) mean anything to you? Maybe a hint-hint?

And since I know you were probably looking for Him to answer, I am his Pitracer connection. And everything I have said is MY pov, having heard on the way home and off the track of his and others' views of this little "incident." And it wasn't just him or his family.

Oh maybe I shouldn't have commented, my 6 years experience of current teenage riding isn't good enough for you or anyone else, I'll come back in 40 years.

this 50 year old man must be your boyfriend since you are coming to his rescue, i have been going to smith road since i was 8 years old and now im 3?.it has way to many people there to be pissin around cuttin corners, riding bikes way to big for you and just getting in the way of others.battlesburg is gay enough, so maybe go there and play in the field.they hardly have people there so you can cut your arse off all day long.:eek:

ahh i love it lol...

of all places to skip things though.. smith rd?? What is there to skip?? corners? another corner??? maybe another corner????

i could see not being a fan of the 6 pack, but even then its not something you cant just take it easy through.

its distracting when ppl are cutting the track. its a dangerous enough sport much less when people are intentionally doing things to juts make it worse.

some people do go to practice tracks during the week to be in "race mode".. cutting the track and screwin off during the week isnt going to get you anywhere at a race on the weekend.

yes its all about fun... but apparently that 1 person was making it not so fun for others???

idk wasnt there, and dont really care. passing people doesnt really bother me, i expect to have to get around people during practice.. but i just wanted to throw in my 2 cents lol

Here's a thought: slow down and roll through them.

Better idea: How about the 2nd Tuesday of each month its track skipper practice day for people who openly admit to not being able to handle their bikes.

Additionally, the promoter will not prep the track, as skippers make only use of only grassy, baron or water truck through-ways.

Solved. And a smiley face to me is someone being a smarty pants. :) <-- like that.

Dont cut the track...period. It is laid out and to cut it is not safe for anyone. It doesnt matter how much the person cutting looks before entering it is still dangerous for everyone.

If you need to cut the track then dont ride the track.

Just a brief reflection on your feeble attempt to offer me an explanation.
First and foremost, SAFETY is not a "subtle detail" as you stated. Secondly, dont play "the age/gotta work" card for I, along with damn near every rider, am in the same boat. I also got a kick out of "he races hare-scrambles', he might RIDE hare scrambles but the happy pumpkin ain't racin nuttin !!!! I am guessing most people are like me and go to practice to ride the TRACK as it is designed and improve on their speed, fundamentals and physical conditioning. Not every one does but i Believe all MOTOCROSSERS do. Even tho' I am "old" I only know how to ride WFO. I like to practice what I know (WFO) with safety at tip of my visor. Pratice like the little pw MOTOCROSSER on the white Cobra, prolly 6 yrs young or so, rode entire track and conquered the corners and ruts you avoid.(no smilie faces on that kid or his bike).
I loved the fact you used the adjective "eccentric" to describe the Happy Pumpin's track cuttin habits. See below. Your word, not mine. (In trying to defend your client, do not let on you know the truth.)

–adjective 1. deviating from the recognized or customary character, practice, etc.; irregular; erratic; peculiar; odd: eccentric conduct; an eccentric person.

Your word or HIS?
Those words are NOT condusive with SAFETY!!!!!!!!!!

You said it best in your last line.
You and HP do not have a clue.

Lets just get along, ride the track as it is presented to us that day, if you struggle, stop and ask for help from a MOTOCROSSER. ;)

I bought the place just to doze that 6 pack or whatever you call it.

Obviously, with your requests for help on how to build the jumps at your own personal track....... you still need more practice too! George's 6 pack have been like that for so many years that everyone who has some skill and rides there goes through them 3 - 3 with no problem whatsover on any size bike. They are what they are and everyone rides over or around them!

Waxed the goat ??

I should have have known better.

BTW where has rupert x been hiding , havent seen him on pit in a while ?
