How Much is Too Much

You guys are into rebuilding bikes...I like everything like new or better...and that can be expensive. I finally have all the parts back for the RM144 and new ones on the shelf ready to put together this week. It is amazing how much a guy can put into these things. This is the damage to date, I think

I probably could have gotten a like new one for less and not needed to put all this into it. I didn't realize all the parts I put into it until I printed out all the reciepts. Guess I got carried away! I'm going to be afraid to ride it now! lol

Frame and wheels look awesome and I'm excited to get her all together.

Is there such as thing as too much....not on MX anyway....Restos can add up quickly....Frame & hubs look sweet!
 
If you are happy with it and enjoy it then it's not to much. If you found that newer one for 3 grand or so you may have not wanted to dump that all at once. They way you did it makes it look better because you are spending smaller amounts at different times. You are just not supposed to add it all up when you get done. Smile at your new ride and enjoy every lap on it. By the way can I ride it? lol

Frame and Hubs look sweeeeeeet.

Got the bike on Ebay and that was my high bid to avoid getting beat by $1.

The frame wasnt in the condition that I wanted to put money into so I thought if it was going to be done do it right and get another one. Feenix Coatings did the work. The frame color is called silver vein. Jonny has it on his 450 frame and after 1 year it shows absolutly no wear where your boots rub the frame. Awesome durable stuff.

Putting the crank in the motor today and lacing the wheels. GO GO GO! Cant wait!
 
Don't look at the receipts. I have "too much" in both of my old bikes, and they aren't done. Long as you are happy at the end and aren't too worried about getting it all back, it's good. IMHO
