4.3 vortec motor

Looking to get a van... found one high miles.. 165k on a 4.3 vortec that i can get really cheap. its extended too which is nice.

just not sure if its worth getting into with that high of miles??? whats everyones opinion?

has some new tires, computer, alternator, brakes and battery... also has an alarm already which is nice. just not sure if its worth converting to a moto van wtih 165k on it...

I had a 4.3 Vortec in my 95 S10 5speed.. Thing ran good, but started missing, then not firing on all six cyl.. That happened around 90k, never ran right since.. Id say pass..

older 4.3 pre vortec motors were good, newer ones are nothing but junk stay away!
