From 2001-2004, Salt Lake City hosted a Monster Energy Supercross race. The championship returned to Salt Lake City in 2009.

One week after winning the Seattle Supercross, Andrew Shorthas a new team title sponsor: Chaparral Racing! The surprise move, tweeted by team co-owner Larry Brooks, means that the old trio of Dave Damron, owner of the San Bernardino, CA-based mega shop, and Brooks and team co-owner Jeremy McGrath have reunited. Together, they won three AMA Supercross titles (1998 to 2000) and set a new mark of satellite team success.
Just a week ago the L&Mc team was struggling, having lost a sponsor and then not have another step up. But in the wake of Short's big win in Seattle, the team is now on solid footing with their old friends from Chaparral.

Thanks for continuing with the great updates!

I'm more interested in the last two races now that RV is out! I'd like to see Dungey win one of them and another new rider on top. Weimer maybe?

Pretty cool with Chapparrel being back involved. I stopped out there at their shop a couple years ago, cool place.

no prob. i actually like doing it, it just sucks when theres nothing to post about. all ive heard about is james stewart this james stewart that. makes things pretty boring.

im with you, im calling either dungey or weimer for the win this weekend.

and the other cool thing about chapparrel is that the deal came down to short getting a podium at seattle... and he won instead. sweeten the deal.

anyone have any idea when the last time a rider switched brands between sx and nationals? just curious.

There. Il give it my best no matter wat and to what happen last weekend. Were to kids goin for a championship I got the short end of the
Stick but that's what happens when you get riding aggressive. Sorta pissed he injured me tho as it contradicts outdoors for me now. Anyhow

possibly may need surgery? idk. but if he can get back up and ride and continue to ride this weekend, why wouldnt he be able to ride in another 20 some days at hangtown? beats me.

I agree on Short. Seems that the mental side of things is huge for him, and having a win has to be awesome for your mental game. I'd love to see him get another.
