Jeffro I have wore Alpinstars forever, and NEVER had had issues. I lost a sole off a pair that was about 10 years old that I would wear out in muddy practices, ect. but by that time, I had got my money out of them for sure.

Yes sir, I had that problem with My tech 10s. Then the replacement sole inserts started coming unglued so I said screw that, I should not have to hassle with stuff like that on $600 boots. Finally made the switch to Italian made boots and couldn't be happier.
 
Had my tech8s since 04. Everything's great! Soles suck! But after 8 seasons (4 of those with heavy racing every weekend) guess I can't complain. I am gonna try Sidis though for my next pair.
