Chillitown MX Ideas

Chilli Town MX

PR Addict
We are looking for input on what activities for kids that mini parents would like to see on race weekends. We have heard many great ideas of things to keep the kiddies busy during race day but we want to open a discussion for which ones would work best. We all know it is hard to occupy the little ones in between motos so here is your chance to help with ideas.

Let it rip folks...lets hear it!

here's a couple idea's: remote control car races, a place or possibly ramps for bmx bikes, water balloon battle if its hot

Run the whole track for the non-beginner 50cc classes. No reason the other 50 classes cannot run the entire track, do not cut it. Parents can space out and help any child out that is in their area.

We would love to allow the 50's to run the whole track but not all of the kids are advanced as your little man and not all of the parents are as willing to help all the kids as you are. We will discuss opening the back section to the 50 riders but don't be surprised if we vote against it. There are more cons than pros to running the 50's back there but we will discuss it at our next meeting.

And to JO...as far as day care goes we can set this up if you are willing to run it...lol "Nanny JO"...has a ring to it doesn't it...lol

Dislike!!

Maybe if the kids are in a certain part of the race order, organize a slow race/pitbike deal during the day, kids love riding, period

Bmx jumps and small pump track, I like the water ballon idea! Squirt guns! As for the track, extra lap if they run it short!
Looking forward to seeing changes on the track! Post it up ASAP. Thx

oh yeah, edit.. Big sand pile keeps em all busy. Swing set?

We are planning a MX Scavenger hunt for kids that want to get involved. We will give awards for this. More details to come. We are thinking it will be for kids 10 and under and theres no cost to participate. It will be very much like a scavenger hunt like they have in 4-H camps and Boy Scouts but only with MX related items instead. We will have some cool prizes and awards for the kiddos that join in the fun. Spread the word!

Bmx jumps and small pump track.QUOTE]

I have seen this at alot of different national tracks and it really gets alot of attention from the kids. Branson always has a few dirt jumps set-up. Nothing big of course, but just something for them to play on. Oak Hill has a little skatepark and basketball court that seems to get alot of attention as well.

swing set/playground area, especially for the non racers! would also love to see a strider race like on saturday night when families camp. dirt jumps/pump track are one of the busiest places at the track! loved the mist tent at chillitown! maybe a table with markers, posterboard, and whatnot that siblings/fans could make signs for their rider? if you were looking for a 'competition' you could do a best, homemade, sign competition. you could make it any homemade sign or only the signs made at the track with supplies given.
