Factory bikes ride height

Anyone notice how low the top factoy bikes sit? Rv1 is like 5'4 and is flat footed . RD5 is taller but the
K-mart Trail Master (kTm) sits really low also . I'm sure it has to do with factory rear shock . I will try and find some pictures. Just really noticed it when RV1 pulled on to the podium at washougal bike is a low rider !

Linkage in the rear makes a big difference.

5' 4" doesn't seem right for RV's height based on seeing him in person. Not sure if his stats are correct on supercoss.com and allisports.com...but there they have him being 5' 8".

Ever heard the saying "there isn't anything stock about a stock car". Same holds true for factory bikes. They cut sub frames, shorten or lengthen suspension whatever it takes to make the rider happy. Most of the really fast riders have the forks so stiff and shock really soft. The sag and suspension could be set so they can be flat footed. Most of the riders are small frys.
