Great Pictures

As always Mark, Great Pictures. Sundays blue skies made for a beautiful day of riding and photo ops. See you at the fair race.

I'll definitely be back for the Fair Race Sat Sep 7th. The lady offered to leave my name at the gate so I could get in for free to take photo's. I told her $10 (only $8 Fair day) isn't going to kill me and I'd rather see the money go to the OMA organization. Big Thanks to Jeremy & Jason for starting this whole thing and I wish them continued success.

Fox, Are you anti-quad? Lol. This place is definitely made for great picture taking. Very scenic background.

I enjoy watching the quads race but hate being on the track with them due to noise. I have Tinnitus ( constant ringing/roaring in my right ear)
This is just my opinion but the most poplar quad mod seems to be the loudest after market exhaust made then remove all the packing to make it even louder! The Yoshimura exhaust on bikes really bother my right ear as well. I don't like wearing foam plugs on the track because I need to hear as well as see in case something happens.
I did stay on the track for the quad racing Sunday but I held a finger in my right ear the entire time because I didn't feel like walking back up the hill to the pits.
My compliments to the #555 KTM quad racer, he must have got a horrible start because he was close to the back of the pack at the bottom of the hill. By the end of Lap 2 he was out front and checking out. His machine appears to be fairly stock as well including the exhaust, I think his was even quieter then the 2 strokes running at the same time.
Someone volunteer to watch my back and I'll wear plugs and shoot pics of quads next race.
Safety is a big thing with me and I don't want to see anyone (including me) get hurt. After Joe Rice's big get off last year I went and got CPR certified and put a big first aid kit in my car trunk. That crash could have ended up much worse and it took 50 min for the ambulance to arrive and another 20 for the chopper.

Gotcha! I agree the Yoshi exhausts are mega loud. I have the same in my right ear after years of strait pipes on my Harley and drag races! My wife wants to know your camera of choice. She likes to dabble taking shots of the kid at the races. She has the Rebel Ti. Good pics!

Current camera's
Sony A77
Sony A65
Sony A580
Sony A560

Camera brand = un-important Spend the big money on the lens
f2.8 70-200 mm I have 2, 1 Sigma and a Tamron, Sigma has a little faster focus but Tamron is a tad sharper.
f2.8 17-50 mm 2 of these as well Sigma and a Tamron. Sigma is faster focus and sharper. Tamron is about $200 cheaper but still 100 times better then any "kit lens"

I used Nikon back in the 35mm and still own 4 of those bodies F4, F3, FA, & FM2. All of my Nikon lens are still out on loan with the exception of my f1.4 50mm.

Digital I switched to Sony and nobody else did so I don't have to loan my good lens any longer. Nikon's first digital offerings left much to be desired. Canon makes great bodies and lens but Sony's control layout fits my hands better. Nikon's camera bodies got much better when they started using Sony image sensors in all their camera bodies.
