New to New Philadephia area

Just moved into the New Philadelphia area recently, originally from the northern california region brought here via military. I ride a 99 ktm 250 EXC and just bought my 3 yr old boy a mini adventure 50 to learn on. Looking for a group of riders to tag along with, camping, poker runs, group rides. I'm not much of a track guy more orientated towards single track scramble rides. I'm used to larger clubs on the west coast and I haven't been able to find much if any out here at least not much active online. See ya on the trails.

You might want to check into joining Crow Canyon in Uhrichsville, real close to New Philly and plenty of area for trail/track riding.

Another close place is lightning raceway, they don't have a web-site but they do post here in the practice and race sections. I believe they only charge $10 a day for open riding.

Beans is also close by but it's 95% MX, there is a small woods loop you can run there.
 
Sweet, I will check them all out. I appreciate the info. I did see beans raceway online now i'll just have to research the rest.
 
Dave, if you want single track type riding Crow Canyon and Lightning are exactly what you are looking for. I haven't been on the lightning loop in a long time but rode Crow last year and it was really fun and challenging. Welcome to the forum, lot's of good guys on here that are willing to help!
 
Welcome to PitRacer Dave. Crow is a private track but it's very affordable. You'd love the woods and the mx track is a great track for beginners too. Stick around, there will be many harescrambles and GP options on here. If you do a search on our track guide there's a "Trails" option and you'll see all the mx tracks that also have trails. Also if you get an OH sticker you can ride Perry State Forest: https://www.facebook.com/PerryForestApvAreaTrailRiders it's not too far a drive for you.
