The West Virginia Indoor Motocross Championship plays host to thousands of motocross race fans and hundreds of amateur competitors beginning at 5 years old on 50cc mini bikes and an even more talented group of professional riders. Many of our past riders including National Supercross and Motocross Champions have achieved national stardom after competing in Action Sports events; could you be the next?

Twelve hundred cubic yards of dirt will be used to construct the race track. Double, triple and tabletop jumps along with whoop de doos or rockers will keep the riders flying through the air and battling bar to bar all weekend long.

The pits open for rider registration Friday & Saturday morning at 9 AM. Practice begins at 11 AM, Pro practice at 2:00, opening ceremonies at 7:00 PM and racing begins at 7:30. Racing usually lasts 2-1/2 to 3 hours. Pit passes for mechanics and family members are $20 per day. (Registered riders do not need a pit pass.) Pit passes allow all day access to the arena, grand stands and pit area. For your convenience a section of grandstands nearest the pit area will be reserved for pit pass holders, however you will be able to sit in any available seat.

After pro practice (approximately 3:00 PM) the entire building, including the pits will be cleared. The building will reopen to riders and those with pit passes at 6:15 PM each night. The building will close 1/2 hour after the event. Riders may leave their bike in the arena pits over night at their own risk.

All ticket holder seats this year are general admission (first come first serve). Tickets are available in advance at ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Advance and day of show tickets are available at the arena box office with no additional fees (BEST DEAL). Ticket holders are not permitted in the pits at any time and are not admitted into the arena until 6:30 PM when the spectator doors open.

The Action Sports Indoor Motocross series began in 1984 and grew into a 15 round series through 1999 in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. Our goal is to produce rider friendly, top quality events where youth, amateur and professional riders can compete in front of thousands of spectators and their families.

We'd like to invite you to our outdoor Grand Prix, Motocross and Harescramble events at the Action Sports Moto Park in Athens, Ohio.
