The number of pre entered riders has increased over previous years for the 2015 West Virginia Indoor Motocross Championship that takes place this Friday and Saturday January 2nd and 3rd at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington West Virginia. We also expect more pro riders this year since the National Arenacross Series isn’t running this weekend. It going to be a great weekend to be in Huntington!!
There are only 2 days remaining to pre enter. Pre entry is $50 per class for all amateur classes and $60 for both pro classes. Entry at the arena is $10 more per class per day. Pit passes are $20 per day for family members and mechanics. A pit pass gets you in the arena all day during practice and qualifying and for the main events that begin at 7:30 PM. Pit pass holders do not have to purchase a ticket for the night’s main events. Riders do not need to purchase a pit pass.
The arena pit doors open and sign up begins at 9:00 AM on Friday and Saturday morning. A track walk will take place both days at 10:15 AM. Every rider, family member or mechanic entering the arena must have their pit pass before they can enter the grand stands or take the track walk. Practice for all amateur classes will begin at 11:00 AM this year, 1 hour earlier than in past years. This will allow more time for practice and more time to run qualifiers if needed. We usually have 2 practices per class. Pro practice is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM. After pro practice the entire building will be cleared. The doors will re-open to the riders and pit pass holders at 6:15 PM both nights. This is 15 minutes before the arena lobby doors open to the public. We have reserved the section of the grandstands closest to the pits for easy access for riders and pit pass holders, but you may sit anywhere you like in the arena. All seats in the arena are general admission this year.
