I have a trx450r, i painted the exhaust heat shield with a high temp paint, i haven't ran the quad more the 10 minutes at a time so far....it's melting off already.
would using "flame" paint, which is for extreme temperatures be better?
Have it powder coated, what's the best way to make it stay a nice looking white?
if anyone has any ideas please share
Thanks,
Cody

prep is key

and using a paint with a high enough temp rating

powder coat would have to be high temp as well

Had good luck with GAS GRILL paint from Lowes, they have a flat and satin, satin looks great on exhaust pipes, one of mine is 3 years old and looks good. Plus its only $5.

Yeah. That'll really get junked with water and mud. I have to paint a stock KLX110 exhuast myself. I was going to get it blasted, but I've been thinking about what to paint it with myself. I think that Autozone spray paint is pretty good. I was going to try a high temp satin black, or a flat black. --L*64
