I had a great time. The track is so much fun! The staff were very friendly. The elevation changes reminded me of 1980's MX. 16 in +40, and 8 in +50. 5 laps for the first round of practice, 3 laps for the second round and 5 lap motos.
I hope you don't change a thing. Try to get rid of some of the rocks. And cut that tree limb below the starting gate. I think I hit it every lap.
    Thank You Ski View.

I had a blast. This race today was a perfect example that you don't need triples, step-on-step-off, or other SX style jumps to have a great time racing motocross. Not that I am anti-jumping, but it was fun to do something different. This place is pure natural terrain with some singles thrown in to break up drive and several challenging off-camber turns.

I was super impressed and will be back for sure. I raced 3 classes and enjoyed the 30 racing laps I put down today. Felt like long motos.

    Some notes:
    • Awesome signup/concessions building. WOW.
    • All the workers were SUPER friendly! I had approximately 4 Salem MC club members ask me during the day what I thought and how they were doing.
    • Pits are all grass, not super level but fine, and the grass was nicely mowed.
    • The track is very fun. This is reclaimed strip mine land so some areas are a little rocky/shale. One of the members told me they actually dug out clay from other areas and put it on the track, and those areas were very nice. Downhills and off-cambers, holy cow am I still in Ohio? That was cool stuff.
    • I would change the finish line section --- it was just a little ehhhh....goofy. I would make the turn off the jump on the ridge, go straight down the hill a big, hairpin right, then back up and left 90 into that straight. You can still put the finish over there.
    • Good job on track prep, some things to learn but for what -- second ever MX race for a Haresramble club? I think you guys did an admirable job and will only get better.
    • The start is very fun. Nice gate, nice start length, into a left bend up a hill. That was really fun.
    • Track markers -- nice job on bannering off the track and marking edges, etc. But you need to get a shipment of the rubber/plastic Acerbis markers in to replace the wooden stakes. The wood stakes can be dangerous and I know I whacked my knuckles about a half-dozen times on them. We MXer's don't run hand guards! haha.
Overall, thank you very much for the great race day to end the season. It was a lot of fun and you all did a great job.

THIS PLACE WOULD BE PERFECT FOR AN AHRMA OR AMA VINTAGE/POST VINTAGE NATIONAL. Get in touch with the powers that be and make that happen, the vintage racers will love it.

That place looks SWEET! Would love to see some GoPro as well of the track.

Places like that are what the sport needs. Like Vet261 said, would be an awesome place for a Vintage/Vet race. Would likely get some of us (ok, me) off the couch and bring some others as well that have been looking for just this type of track.

This is the type of track that is different my today's standards. That's what everyone wants so they say on pit. We will see if the tirnouts warrants the posts.
