Lap at deltas ironman

Prime example of another race I always want to do but hear about it the week after. Wish they would promote on pitracer.

I used to love going to the Ironman at Delta.
IF you love jumps this is the place. Get your sand Jones on as well, lots of sand.
With the Delta exit its a straight shot on the Turnpike.

Two things:
A) Be sure to join MRA $20, Gate fee $25
B) When walking the track watch out for the sand leeches, you won't know you have one attached until you see the blood, usually on your neck or arms.
 
I believe gate fee is $10 and $30 to race. Guess I've never walked the track so not sure about the leaches but I have never seen one and I've been known to lay down in a sand turn before.

Ran a LL regional there in '87. Great track with awesome soil. Sand but not as deep as Red Budd. Jumps were well designed and most turns had berms outside with room to cut inside. All around good stuff....but that was "87
