Driven Mx Racing

to participate in the

2017 Amsoil Arenacross Series

Driven Mx recently announced their plans to participate in the 2017 AMA Amsoil Arenacross Series.

Driven Mx is a second-year Arenacross team started by Clay Elliott, of Salem, Ohio, a professional rider of five years who will be leading the team as owner.

Riders for the 2017 team include:

Andy Daggett #540 of Boston, Massachusetts, Chance Blackburn, #246 of Spokane, Washington, Jared Lesher #13 of Elderton, Pennsylvatia, Jeramy Taylor #32 of Canton, Ohio and Vincent Murphy, #161 of New Hyde Park, New York.

Team mechanics include: Ryan Kuestner of Massillon, Ohio and Andy Martin of New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Part of Driven Mx is focused on building it's team members into professional Arenacross racers.

Rather than being solely performance based, Elliott said Driven Mx Racing is focused around giving good advertisement opportunities to sponsors all over the country and on national platforms, giving riders the chance to race both the east and west coasts and giving back through visits to children's hospitals and charity events along the way.

“We want to be ambassadors of Arenacross racing,” team owner Elliott said.

Driven Mx is Elliott's first team as owner. He has raced professionally in Amsoil Arenacross from 2011 through 2015.

In 2015 he raced the full Amsoil Arenacross Series and saw the opportunity to start his own team in order to give other riders a positive team structure and to achieve their ultimate goals in Amsoil Arenacross.

Last year the Driven Mx team completed its first full season as a professional Arenacross team with two main event wins and placed third overall in the Arenacross Lites West Coast series.

For the first time this year Driven Mx is establishing its own Amateur Support Program. It will provide amateur riders with sponsorships through the company's sponsoring the professional Arenacross team. Driven Mx encourages all amateur riders to email in their resumes for their chance to be a part of the Amateur Support Program.

Elliott has a philosophy about racing and life that will carry his team to the points and the wins they need to be successful.

“For me racing isn't about my own personal achievements or goals. It's about growing a sport so that more pro-riders can make a living and have the opportunity to do something they love for as long as possible,” he said.

The Amsoil Arenacross series will take place from January 7 to May 5, 2017.

The Amsoil Arenacross Series Races will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Baltimore, Maryland, Nashville, Tennessee, Louisville, Kentucky, Kansas City, Missouri, Tampa, Florida, Southaven, Mississippi, New Orleans, Louisiana, Portland, Oregon, Reno, Nevada, Sacramento, California, Denver, Colorado and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Current sponsors include:

Driven Mx Racing, MEPMX, Action Extreme Sports, Hazardous Mx Training, AXO, Moto Option, Spectro Oils, Arai Helmets, No Toil, Mika Metals, SRS Suspension, True Mx, Polar Global, Moto Seat, Cometic Gaskets and Pro Wheel Racing.
