What would cause this

When I put the top end together I made sure valves were in range. Not sure about the cams being adjustable. As for fuel filter I'll have to look into that. Are you talking about fuel assembly under tank?
 
Yep. Your pump is located inside of the tank, you will have to remove it from the tank to check it. How did the bike run before you tore it down?
 
Ran good besides a piston knock but that's it. Power wasn't there but typical when you put 60 hours on a piston I guess.
