Plenty of Studs on the Buckeye

Quite a few riders enjoying the ice on Buckeye Lake this weekend. Todays warmer temp helped a bit.
This was on the Millersport end of the lake. Wind-skiers, ice fisherman, sleds and quad riders had the rest of the lake.

We ran into one of our buddies from Vintage Days and he told us that bar hopping on sleds and quads is pretty popular too.

It was kind of cool that they had a sports bike type of course laid out also instead of just a round oval.
The wife jabbed me in the ribs when I commented that one of the riders out there hadn't cleaned his bike since his last off road ride. He was gonna get the ice all dirty.

I'll admit, there is a side of me that wish's that I was out there with them.
Yesterday when we stopped by there was only a few. But this afternoon, the parking area was full with many out there on all sorts of bikes and equipment.

Right before we left we even saw a golf cart heading out to join the fun.

It's been about 40 years since I was doing that. Spun the flywheel right off my lowered 100 MX right there one year. Must have been turning a few RPMs. :)
