Last time we ever raced summit indoors was around 94/95ish. Cold as hell and we were in the little staging area right before the gate getting ready to line up. All the smoke and noise we all hear a bike pinned wide open over everything else going on. I turn to my left and see guy in the whoop section full out superman whiskey throttle position hanging on for dear life, and he proceeds to hit the corner berm at the end of the section and ramp into the crowd. Ill never forget the sight of that bike 15' in the air headed for the bleachers and him still hanging on. Pretty sure no one got hurt in the bleachers, amazingly.

That exact thing happened to my son and I️ walking into staging. Bike grazed my sons helmet. Knocked bike out of my hands and onto the concrete. The guy rag dolled onto the ramp. Inches away from a horrible outcome.
