Is it a location thing or youth thing?

2 weekends in a row we rode route 62. Last weekend, teenage punk riding wheelies on a pitbike through my pits. Almost hit my son and his friends bikes while on the stands at least three times, and my gf once. Yesterday random guy using my new truck as a bench and a kid on a 65 tears past my trailer running over my ramp and almost hitting my bike. WTF, I’ve never had this problem ever before!!

BC had to take all pit vehicle privileges away at a race. So I don't think it is a rt62 thing.

Did you try taking to the people or just wanrant on here.

Kid on 65 was cooking and disappeared, I asked the guy to not lean on my truck. Last week the kid on the pitbike I tried to ignore. You honestly can’t talk to people anymore especially about their kids they get butt hurt quick. Very few people are honest and can actually believe their child can do wrong, and I don’t have the temperament to deal with ignorance any longer.
So yea I guess it’s a rant, or maybe somebody will read it and the next time their kid is being on the jack ass side they’ll remember that not everyone thinks Johnny is just being cute.

Part of the problem are the pits at 62 are tight, but overall people are just idiots anymore.
There was some dipshit at East Fork a few weeks ago that went through the pits a few times wide open probably in third or fourth gear.

Also I feel like 62 and East Fork get a different type of rider than most tracks.

I understood the 65 kid, maybe he wasn’t looking forward. That age they get all excited and impulse control is a struggle. As an adult though to park your ass on my truck!? Or as a 15 yr old plus aged teen, you know not to try and ride wheelie through a 2’ gap between the fence and somebody else’s bike. Your just an ass who thinks your special!

At the high point national this year, I'm standing 5 feet away from my fold up chair. A 18-23 year old kid and his buddy are walking through with a camera. The kid steps up onto my chair and starts taking pictures of the track/race. I honestly didn't know what to think at that point. I told the kid to get off of my chair (MY CHAIR!!), which he refused to do. So I kindly removed him myself. He got up (from the removing) and said "doooooooood I wasn't hurting anything, what's the big deal???".

In summation, people are absolutely declining in intelligence as we speak. I expect it now, but I don't accept it. Boundaries and rules do not exist to people today, especially the youth. 100% a parent problem for the last 30 years and getting worse. Keep in mind, kids don't know anything when they're born. Everything they know is learned...

I have kids, and am President of a youth Football organization with tons of parents and kids (9 more months and counting down). Parents absolutely think their kids do NOTHING wrong. I am not sure what the hell has happened in just a short period of time. I am 48, and most of my kids friends parents are a little younger. I see it every where. They let them do what ever the hell they want too!! My patience is about as short as it gets now. Just last football season I got spit in the face after a fan jumped a fence, shoved a ref, and I tried to keep me from escorting him out of the stadium. It is nuts.

Track owners can stop it if they wish. Take and hand out rules at sign up. No warnings, nothing. You violate them, I see you, your wrist band is cut off, and your packing up and going home for the day. Do this two or three weekends, and word gets out that you mean business, and then parents may watch what the hell their kids are doing.

Mine played youth football, rec and travel Baseball, don’t get me started! I coached baseball for ten years, never thought I’d say it but I’m glad that ball sports are on the back burner for him. Good place to show your kids how not to act as an adult!

I believe football parents are the worst though. Although I have heard some pretty good stories from some traveling soccer parents that have had a few parents go off.

So like 955 said...not a kid problem. Parent problem.

Not a sport problem. Parent problem.soccer, football, baseball, lacrosse, cross country, motocross. No different. Still a parent problem.

When people mess up in the army they get retrained, placed back on task. If it keeps happening they get PT’d to death. Then somehow they stop messing up. My kid will be in the best shape if they wanna continue to be a dick. Standing on someone’s chair? We dont do that. And this is why. Do it again? Time for SOME physical training. Front. Back. Go. Now let’s ruck 15% of your weight 3-6 miles. Then we can reassess how your attitude adjusts.

Ya this sounds like every single track I’ve ever been to in the last 30 years. Just be happy your car didn’t get burned and there wasn’t a dead drunk guy in your pits ala kenworthys or high point 1993.

I'd pay money to see a cross country fight.

My son has played football from youth all the way to his senior year this year. I never once saw any parents get out of control. They shouted at the refs a few times for some bad calls but that's it. He has also wrestled since he was 4 years old. You want to see parents out of control go to a middle school or high school wrestling meet lol those are the out of control parents. I had an old guy want to take it out to the parking lot just because I said something about the refs favoring his school to my wife I didn't shout it wasn't upset just simply made a comment to wife. As far as being at the track ive had the kids fly thru beside truck at 62 , briarcliff , Malvern it happens. I just simply be polite about it and say something never had a problem with a parent

It does happen.

Definitely a parent problem #1 and # 2 a track problem. Track owners are too worried about scaring people off to enforce their own rules. Chillitown is by far the worst and they won't do a damn thing about it. I usually take care of it myself instead.
