Lightning Raceway AHRMA Great Lakes Regional 7/11, 7/12

I've never been to this track and I'm considering going. Does anyone on here know the place?

I know it well. I talked to the property owner Monday. He said he was planning on setting up a grass track for the motocross and not actually having the motos on his track. He has some large fields across the road from the main property. He thought guys might appreciate that instead of having to jump doubles or a triple on their older bikes. He said there will be 3 one hour harescrambles as well as a trials obstacle loop.

I'll add that if you are going to run in a harescramble down there to be prepared. His trails are rocky and rutted, with sharp elevation changes. He does have the ability to set up a tame woods loop, or some bypasses should he choose though.

Judging by the facebook Pic's, Lightening Raceway had some pretty good racing action.
I see some sweet looking mid 90's Honda CR's.

This was one of the most enjoyable races and tracks I've been to lately. Enjoyed it thoroughly and and I hope he puts it on again next year. Tom McPeek
