Hello, I need a set of cases for a 2006 RMZ 250. Does anyone know of someone who has them? Factory says they are discontinued. Will be a shame to throw away a good bike! 04,05,06 RMZ and 04, 05 KX250F are the same i believe.
The ones that are $319 are cracked in the same spot mine are. I almost bought them until i asked and he said yes they were cracked. All the others i saw were for a different year. Believe me, I look several times a day.
If they're cracked, with no major pieces missed, it's likely that they can be welded. I would personally advise against putting much money into that bike, they had a lot of issues, and aren't really desirable on the used market.
I know a guy that is very good at welding. He’s retired and in the Akron area. I can ask him if you want. Send a pic of the cases and I can talk to him if you decide to go that way.
