Always like me some Daytona (or Daytoner as Leigh would say) Supercross (i.e. Motorcrossy Supercrossy). Looking for Tomac to be the uno mas favorito for the 450's and anyone's game in the 250's. Well, not anyone's, but not as clear cut although Jett will still be my pic. Bummer for Forkner as Jett put a forkner in his plans for any championship run. Will be curious to see how Marchbanks does on the fo' fitty. Weather looks like a winner with 79 degrees and sunny. Gentlemen....start your engines!!!

Why would RC have a wall jump before the finish.
Why not? They talked about it on the broadcast I thought, it was part of the plan "to interrupt the flow". It did just that. Definitely a separation in ability to manage the track. Not everyone doing the same thing, nor following each other, nor looking like a teams water aerobics performance. I agree, not a track I'd like to ride, but good to see how those better than us do. It turned out well I think. Classic Daytona.

Not a Webb fan to say the least, but he had a beef. Classic example of someone not just holding their line and making the faster rider pass them. We do not have eyes in the back of our heads...especially in the whoops. Disappointed in #12, but Tomac was coming, so...not sure if it would have had the say in who won or not. It definitely could've been a more exciting pass for the lead though. Hate to see a lapper somewhat determine the outcome.

Oh, and I like the commentary. I guess it doesn't bother me I'd say. RC and Daniel make it for me. I actually like the former rider perspective. Thinking AC and Colt Nichols could definitely have a future at it. I'd be happy if they brought Emig back of which I know a few would not agree with... Anyways...on to Detroit!

The lapper did the right thing, he got out of the main line. Webb made the mistake of trying to go inside of him when he was already on the inside. He moved over to get out of that line and Webb was there. Why would any rider try and pass on the inside like that? Bad judgement on Webbs part

See that's I guess where I disagree. Sure, if I KNEW where the faster rider behind me was, then move over, but otherwise just stay in the line you are in. Otherwise you have a 50/50 shot at choosing the wrong direction.

Otherwise does Webb assume is is going to move or just assume he is staying in his line? Well, guess we all know the decision Webb made. If #12 stayed in his line in the whoops, Webb would have passed him on the inside, Tomac would have made the pass anyway, and all this a moot point...

Dude was in the far inside line. He moved inside where there was no line.

Seems like Webb's KTM is dialed now and he is back. He is known for his late race charges but Tomac owns Daytona and Eli is pretty good at those late charges too.

Every break they were out there with two bobcats, two dozers and a huge wheeled front end loader. All corners smooth, no ruts. Jump faces packed in, whoopes packed in. The track was NOT a typical "Daytona" pro track with sand whoops, breaking bumps, etc. I personally think for Daytona, they need to allow it to be Daytona. Not a packed in tight typical supercross track. It was rougher on amateur day.

Am I just being nit-picky here or does anyone else get stuck on the spode visor position on the Daytona SX Trophy?

I know this image is for an old race but the trophy is still the same and this was the best pic I could find that shows the visor.
