W.T.M. - Weekly updates

For me...BC was perfect on Saturday. Smallish turnout, and the track had so much moisture in it.
Apparently, they got rain on Wed. Was told JO had to scrape some areas to make it rideable.

Sunday was busier and had a much larger turnout. RupertX, Gibby, Browning, Burkhart & Whitcraft (doing lessons).
One water session. Fantastic weekend to be on a dirt bike!

Honda Hills merp was a dust bowl. Literally had to slow almost to a stop a few time because I couldn't see where the track went. I rode a dirt bike so it wasn't all bad.
I figured it was going to be a repeat of last year, if you remember, it was so dusty you couldn’t see a foot in front of you. That’s why I chose to go to route 62 versus going to Honda Hills for that race. We haven’t had any substantial rain in a few weeks And I knew their trails would be nothing but powder. But like you said you got to ride your dirtbike so it wasn’t that bad.

was so bad/dangerous. i let probably people go by the first lap because i had no clue where it went after you got off the mx track and i wasnt going to just pin it into a tree or obstacle of some sort. racing earlier in the day would have been a big advantage for that late dusty moto at 2:00 that i ran.

enjoyed it otherwise, my favorite round as far as the woods go. easy flowy trails.

heard a rumor they may move it to round 1 next year to hopefully provide better conditions.

I previously ran the noon 40 + C but had baptism at church so I couldn't make that one did the warrior class at 430. Did not make great racing.
They watered the day before. I dont know why they couldn't water between races.

You even ride?

That was our original plan. My son has to go to a cookout at his girlfriend’s house. I’m guessing we will try the new layout at Supercoop on Saturday and hit red bud for the practice in October

Had a good time in NY this weekend. First time riding in NY since I rode broom tioga in like 1999. Area 51 is a pretty awesome track to ride! Id say the worst part was the lack of porta john maintenance. They were like mx sports with those things, 0 maintenance all 3 days.
