Did you happen to see the tent glaming set-ups they were renting?
I did see them - but just walked by them and didn't look closely. Not sure if they filled up.

I thought the weekend was excellent and the track/city did a nice job with logistics and the facility. - no complaints

We took a free shuttle to town on Thursday and ate with some of the riders from Sweden.

Another free bus ride into town on Friday for the parade and its insanity. A Four Lane parade route crushed down to less than a truck width. It was amazing nobody got run over - but so fun.

The 8:00 AM sound 125 practice session was worth it all and those kids are fearless.

Camping was organized - porta-potties and showers we kept clean near us.

Camping crowd and Race crowd was good (I did get tired of chainsaws screaming) and yep the view and racing topped it off.

We left this morning with zero traffic. A fine weekend

We had a great time at the race. We didn't get there till Thursday afternoon but got a good camping site on Billy Lyles road. Met some really cool neighbors from New Jersey, New Zealand, Australia, Germany. Our friends camped next to Casey Cochran's dad which I asked if he has had to deal with Hayden, he said yes, Casey is the same age as him and we've raced him since we were 4 years old. Didn't sound like he is a fan. I spoke to Chad Reed, Jeff Ward, Davey Coombs, Jason Thomas, fun to see the people behind the scenes. The chain saws were a little much especially after Midnight. Some campers got kicked out next to us for getting wild. I'm glad we had bicycles, great way to get around to see the sights. After seeing the SX prices in Cleveland made me think we got a bargain in Indiana. We thought the track was hard to get a good spot to watch. USA did the best they could. The Euros are tougher on our home soil than I thought. But the Lawrence's are still the ones to beat. Their starts and riding were above everyone else in my opinion. Most teams had some bad luck but that's what makes the race so unpredictable. That is my fourth MXON in a row in the US. I heard rumors it was going to be at High Point in 27. I can't imagine how camping will be there being so hilly. I read they sold 133,000 tickets at Ironman, it looked like it.

Considering that Doug protested Hayden's big bore 50 at Oak Hill many years ago, I would say it is safe to assume they are not fans. BTW, Casey, Doug, and Amy are some of the nicest people that you will meet.

Yes Doug Cochran seemed really cool and fun to talk to. He seemed to know some inside info on the MX scene. He had a friend, Clinton along from Australia that used to race professional speedway in England. I had a picture of George Singlar, from Smith Road Raceway, on a speedway bike I showed him. He knew all about the bike and year. I thought that was fun as well. They had a really nice motorhome too.

I’d say mx des nations at high point is a terrible idea. Parking alone and it just being in the middle of nowhere. Pretty much I’d say redbud and Ironman are pretty solid spots never been to budds but they used to have one there so I’m assuming it can house it also

How bout the racing itself? Seeing Shimoda and Tomac battleing was awesome. JCoop didnt get enough credit for what he was dealt with IMO. Not surprised that Jett and Hunter did what they do best.

Didn’t realize Hampshire was racing with broken ribs. He was on pulpmx. His interview was awesome. He talked about how he was confused because during his moto he kept crashing and the fans still were goin absolutely nuts when he was in 17th. So he was like sayin am I still in this thing ? Do I gotta push.

And we were my god you couldn’t hear anything when the Americans came around every lap.

Imagine crashing 7 times with broken ribs. That track was brutal. It was taking everyone.

RJ isn't the most accomplished rider, but one of my favorite riders to watch, dude could be half conscious, trying to get back on the bike, and staying positive about it all. His riding style has always been "exciting". Always rooting him on no matter the situation.

Thing I love about Hampshire is dudes got the biggest heart out on the track. However it has gotten him to ride a bit over the edge at times and push the limits ultimately going over. However you know the dude will never give up and fight till the end. Jcoop did solid. Dude has been solid all year and only guy to not only do every single race but also des nations that alone is a win. Tomac is captain America and rose to the occasion. However I honestly don’t know how you would beat Australia unless they have a crash or mechanical between hunter and Jett. They could get damn near any dude on a 250 from Australia because they could get 20th as there best 250 overall and they’d still win

Don't count out Morgantown and I-79. The track may be in the hills but for the idea of travel and lodging HP does have a prime location.

A promoter on here talked about tracks being relevant to big cities and highways. I think that is often miss interpreted with new tracks opening and their turnouts are affected by that. An issue is the land is not usually feasible for the startup operation.

Distance from Malvern should also be factored in.
