mini o's questions/advice

Heading down for the first time.. im racing +30 and +35, My kids racing 50 sr and open.. SX and MX for us both.

I have some questions you guys probably know the answer to.

How do they do the running order, not like LL by times obviously.. will they just start and then stop at dark and pick up where they left off? They give you a race order but not by time or day.

Are there any grocery stores / restaurants near by?

We're also taking 7 yr old daughter with us hoping she can make some friends... but would like to try to find a few hours one day if the schedule allows it, will be tough with us doing 4 classes... but would like to take her to do something non moto for her.. any suggestions on something family friendly near by?

we didn't get a golf cart rental and i already know we're going to regret that but damn the cost for everything was enough as is.. was trying to have a buddy bring one down to share but he ended up not being able to go so we're kind of screwed on that. with a 1 1/2 year old moms already super excited to cart him around everywhere... we originally were going to do hookups but again..cost..screw that. bought a 14 gal fuel container for the generator and sounds like the trucks come by often enough to fill water and pump when needed, so i couldnt justify the $850 or whatever it was for the hookup.

any tips for the week would be appreciated!

Race order is online like you’ve seen they just run till that can’t see and start when the fog is so bad you also can’t see. Early mornings late nights. Always be at least about 4-5 races early to stagging before your moto. Only race I ever show up that early just cause you have to and they will give up your gate pick if your not there. Besides that it’s fun and long motos so worth it

Go to Disney for a few days after the races.
We would race all week. Then go to Disney. (Then you’ll be like Jesus, I spent three times as much at Disney than I did to race all week…the cost for mini O is a bargain in comparison)

Not having a pit vehicle is insane. Bring a baby ruck to carry baby chase around on your back. Take bicycles. Everyone will have $5,000 electric ones. They’ll be scooting all over that place with ease. Your legs will be dead. :)

Use the resources: laundry service, Dunlop for tires, etc.

There are allot of activities for kids non moto. Santa etc. every day they have riders got Christ activities where they’ll babysit for free and your kids will do crafts. DO IT.

Tell your kids the ice cream booth doesn’t actually have ice cream. Otherwise you’ll spend $300 there during the week. Ya know what just spend if.

Once you’re there you aren’t saving any money lol. Have fun the week goes by fast.

Get in line early for Thanksgiving dinner. Food not the greatest but it is nice. It’s free

You have a truck you can go in and out of track as you please there’s plenty of places nearby. 93 pump at all the local gas stations will be dry by Tuesday.

+30 guys are racing for their livelihood and big money. If you’re in the way. They’ll move you out of the way. Don’t get lapped by guys like Mike Brown in a heat race, they get mad when Roman takes that advantage and passes you both for the win…

Almost forgot. Watch the motos. Some of the best racing ever.

The Supermini classes look, sound, and smell the best. Those bikes are soooo crispy.

good racing so far. Roman Henry not having much trouble with Jason Lawrence.
It was cool seeing those guys walk on J Law. Other than that, how did everyone who went do? Id like to go to this event next year to spectate. Looks like a blast.

Roman been doin work on those vet classes the past few years.

It was fun to watch the live stream most of the week. I have become a regular attender of Daytona, Mini O's, LL pry 5+ years now and it just keeps getting better and better.

The mini os was huge this year. Opened up a back field that they have not used since 2019 for parking. Amazes me the sheer number of fast guys here. Ditch Loretta's for the national championship. Make it the mini os. No qualifiers. No regionals with almost 70 in a class. Come here. If you are racing for a championship, you must run SX and MX. Combine those scores for the #1 plate in each class. This event and track is 10 times better than Loretta's.

I do like mini os. Show up and be humbled all in 1 week.

Vs show up. Humbled. Show up. Humbled. Show up humbled. Show up. Humbled. Area area area regional regional regional regional national.

But….if you want to race fiercely. You just do them all. …it’s nice to have options.
