so i finally downloaded the full game.

ive figured out how to download tracks, and bikes and get them in game.
but how are people making their own gear and bike graphics? ive tried searching the mx sim forums but theres sooo many posts to read through, it could take awhile. if anyone knows if there is a tutorial or something and could post a link, that would be awesome. thanks.

no clue... ddmx can fill you in on that haha.. theres so much info on the mx sim forums but i can see why itd be hard to follow because theres sooo much

yea, when theres so many pages on one topic, its hard to keep reading through. JUST GIMME THE ANSWER.lol
i think im gonna have to put this on a different computer tho. runs kinda slow on the laptop. kinda like skips.

yea. we have been needing a new computer anyways. lol.
its super cool being able to play the current supercross tracks. wanna help me out with bike setup? idk where to begin.

ill try and send you what i got when i can. i think im living in front of my work laptop for like the next 48 hrs straight though lol.

theres a thread on the forums about different peoples set up. the big thing is stability. leave that high until you start getting better then lower it. some ppl have it at like 5 or 10... i think im sitll at like 35... that makes it lean from side to side a lot quicker and stuff.

wow. with arcade off, its near impossible. lol. best time of 1:30 on anaheim1 with phy on and a 2:19 with it off.
they for sure nailed supercross tho. you do stuff just like they did in real life. love it.
btw, with arcade off, i case the double of loraccos leap. haha

thats why its so fun, it is real challenging and u have to ride it like its real! lol. make sure you have the latest snap shot too. those are sticked at the top of the forum

For doing your own bike and rider skins you need to download templates from the forum, or make them from scratch off the wire frames included with the bike model packs you download. Adobe photoshop, gimp, any raster based graphics program can be used to make skins as long as the program has the ability to save transparent .png. If you have no experience in graphic design or these programs it helps to watch youtube tutorials on the program basics. As for setup I use the stock clicker settings at 24 stability for motocross. I am using another players setup for supercross at the moment and I find it real solid for whoops and rhythm sections, that setup can be found on the "your setups" thread in the general discussion 1st or 2nd page, guy that posted the setup goes by the user name Cobra

i played with the stability a little. turned it to 0 once just to see. lmao. i wanna personally watch someone do that. i would be majorly impressed.
do you guys use xbox controllers? seems like everyone likes them better. i cant get ps3 analog sticks to work so i think im gonna switch to xbox. what about shifting gears? do you guys do that on your own too?

i think a lot of guys do manually shift. i do not. i ran out of buttons on my regular xbox controller. if i had a 360 controller to use for it id be in business lol. i dont know that that is THAT critical though. i know it helps to downshift into whoops though... but i kinda do the same by just letting off a bit before going into em.. idk why but it helps you get through them better for sure.

what are setting requirements to race in the supercross series they do? do you have to manually shift for that? \
i got down to a 1:47 with arcade off on A1. so im starting to pick it up. just cant figure out why i keep nose diving so badly.

epik...alive from the dead man!

for rider skins:
rider_body-ddmxv2-"skinname".png

for helmet skins:
rider_head-default-"skinname".png
rider_head-agv10-"skinname".png
ect... so many different helmets. but the main rider model is the one I modeled. that's all you need to do after you make a skin.

as far as making skins, if you're not great at photoshop, download a template if there is one and play around with it.

as far as nose diving in game, make your rebound damping less in the rear than in the front, that way your front rides higher.

ps3 controllers work, there's a thread to get it working.
x360 controllers are pretty much plug and play

0 stability, well, it takes a while of playing before you can do that. :p

haha yea I have been around. Got kinda burned out on the game, well more the forums and took a break from playing. I built a fancy new PC setup and started playing again shortly after. Cant believe how much better the game looks these days.

i think jlv is insane for not getting some of that stuff posted on the first page of his site.. i mean i guess it probably has something to do with copyrights and stuff... but the game is sooo ugly stock lol... im sure he could double the # of players if he could advertise showing what it really can look like

for the heck of it heres a few screen shots.. nothing too recent.. things seem to improve daily!
