We cant avoid all the "other races", the other possibility was a youth regional at Doublin Gap in the Northeast.....decisions decisions

So whats wrong with one weekend earlier? There is no regional conflict, thats about $700 between me and Kreps you will gain. Imagine how many others also might be going to the regional, Im sure it adds up to thousands.

It will rain in TN....calling it now.

Just think of how much money we will save you by just racing the big 6 in Ohio?? You wont have to drive all the way South!!

I wouldn't change a thing. There no win in picking dates between March and end of June which we know as regional season. If you look closer this years SE regional it is the least attractive for us ME guys.

1- it's the 1st regional and only on calendar so it will be a national full of every MTF'offs, south in toothless border, and Club Jackleg rider etc. Really? I love muddy creek but be more fun to burn $1,000 at local titty bar than waste a grand going to that cluster. Heat race/ lcq/ home. Broke. Good fun laughing at these full-time C riders on $20,000 250fs. But battle sounds better
2- moving a week earlier lands on the ME thunder valley Area that is normally bigger than any regional won't really impact older guys but youth riders hit those last weekend areas after 3 or 4 failed attempts. When did TN tracks become ME? Better than those northern CA tracks being in a Midwest regional. Everyone just goggle Midwest and Mideast and email def to mx sports. A lot of moto heads are dumb but that dumb.
3- this years 8 SE areas are so far away from ME due to fact TN areas are now ME events I'll bet not many OH guys are gonna drive to FL, AL, GA and MS when there are regionals at high point and Baja acres. Muddy creek just not best option unless your concussed.

I would suggest the Battle format is rising to top of mountain, do the dictating and let others avoid you. Won't be long other promoters will see battle dates and decide to move their events. Regional promoters won't but I'll bet your event keeps more Ohio riders home than go to MC.

AND your 1st date is memorial day weekend. The last on Labor Day. Of course the middle july events needs to mindful of red bud and VMD. I think you just bookended the summer with battle races on memorial and labor day. That set up could work for next 10 years. Others will react. Three day holiday weekends open up other cool big race format options. Team186 ran three day race events, practice/ race/ practice events and Monday only races. All were big.

Just rambling. Keep up good work OMA.

Thanks for the words of wisdom Steve. I would like to have labor day at some point, but Baja and The Canam are still very strong events, and adding mine in there might not be wise at this point. Maybe some day.

it's not about the money. Those of us to drive around to different states are chasing fun event. Now we are going to have to choose between one and another. No problem we will just make the choice when the time comes. either way we are going to have fun!

Money matters to me. Look at this 4 week run I'm looking at.

ME Regional at Baja 1100 miles round trip
Red Bud natl 800 miles
VMD 800 miles
Battle 600 miles

I'll need 3 grand to hit all four. Probably need to stay home from Easter to Mother's Day and save up.

YES, the house should be done by then! I'm already off for Malvern and Chillitown! Just need to save some vaca for the Cliff! I worked all battle weekends last year! 2016 is looking good already!

Seriously? They are supposed to worry about a regional that is NOT even in our region? That will be a handful of people at best. I personally think MX Sports should make you only qualify in the region in which you live. Period. But that will never happen, would cost them too much money for those crazy ass people running 4 and 5 different regions.

OMA should only worry about whats happening here in Ohio. I would guess the Battle weekends are going to be better than a regional, unless your trying to get to LL. If that's the case, good luck at Muddy Creek.

Sorry guys but I think we are fairly locked in here, we have the 2016 nearly complete and full. Not much of a chance to change now. Bills right this is more FYI, than a request for feedback.
