W.T.M. - Weekly updates

Not 100% sure, but it's looking like Beans on Sunday. Haven't been there for many moons!

2 of us went to Beans today. Hadn't been there for I'll bet 10yrs. Track is pretty much the same.
The jumps on the front straight sketch me out, big time. The track has a hard base with dirt/mulch
combo on top and needs about 45min- 1hr to settle in after watering, as the underlying base is slippery.
It's not like any other clay or sand track in our area. By 2pm it was getting dusty. But it was 90* today.
I'd guess they had 40-50 riders. Not my first choice, but will be back.

Got yourself a van ?? What’d u go with and you building it out?
Yep sold the truck and trailer and got a 2015 tall long transit. We are in the slow.process of building it out. Logan papaw and myself painted it last week. I have the walls roughed in. Have to pull them back out put the insulation in, carpet the walls and re install them, same with the floor. Looking at batteries, inverters and converters currently, but I'm in way over my head trying to figure those out.

Some in progress pictures.
I told dad I wanted a 20' paint job. I wasn't after a show car finish, I just wanted it silver, and done in a 5 days. Lol. Turned out okay, could tell we rushed, but I'm happy with it. I didn't do any body work it, so she still had all her character, just shiney nail polish.

I went with a group last Saturday and everyone thought the track was awesome! Haven’t been for a couple years and it used to be super deep to start out and took a while to get good. Last week it was loamy pretty much everywhere. Hero dirt especially in the corners go wherever you want lay it over and pin it. Hand, Clayson, Usko and a few other fast guys where there ripping. As far as the front stretch the first three is a very easy double or a pretty cool triple depending on how you hit it. The triple seems pretty safe the third jump is really rounded I think I will do it next time I go. The next one is a speed check and after that is a huge double that only the very fast guys we’re doing. Not a huge fan of that part it would be cool if he put something else in there. After that is the tunnel jump and then a really fun step up after that it is all old school moto. Theirs only four jumps on the track. I think BJ has really tamed it down. Would be really cool if he would run the back section with the long uphill sometime. I know he did post last Saturday night that he was going to to put more water down so maybe it was a lot deeper. I have quite a few friends that don’t like that place but I dig it.

Was surprised how well WRMC was prepped yesterday! There were actually ruts and it was rough compared to what I've been used to for the last 40 years of going there lol.

Hats off to the crew and work they put in. I had a great time and can barely move today.

The only bad thing is the cost. Austin and I went just to practice yesterday and they won't refund your gate fee. So it cost us $100 just for practice. Had it known that ahead of time, we would not have come out.
Pretty sure that is how the buckeye series is too if you show up on a Saturday to practice in the morning, they charge you a gate fee, and they don’t refund it if you leave before the racing starts in the afternoon. I remember going to Honda hills in June for the spring series race, for morning practice, and they charged us and said no refunds, so i stayed to race. That is ridiculous paying a $40 for my wife and i to get in and another $30 to practice.

Looks great you’ll get your money out of it I love mine

Going to try east fork on Sunday. Never been there

Rode there over the 7.4 weekend and had a good time.
Liked the layout, which I've read he has slightly changed.
One thing, they tend to overwater at first. So no need to
be the first one on the track. 45-60 mins after they open
is perfect. Soil seems similar to RT62

Went to eastfork Saturday and it was prime time. Prep was sick the new diet finally got mixed in. Had some ruts all over the track but good ruts and honestly best it’s been in a while. Had a ton of fun. Been working to get back to where I was before I took a month off cause of life and wadding my brains out at ctown but we are getting back to where we need to be

62 was awesome Saturday! Jimmy has really done great things to the facility since taking it over from Lonnie back in the day. Track was perfect and moist all day with no dust. Great ruts and got decently rough, nothing too crazy. I went 1-1 in warrior class and in open 2 stroke went 2-4, for 2nd o/a out of 17 racers… Willard won the 2 stroke class and had probably half track on me in 5 laps, dude is still just unreal.
