This problem is blowing my mind.

Streaks and Marc, I see the issue now, obviously the common denominator is that Eric Gore big bore kit. Just send me your kit, and I'll send you back my stock parts. Problem Solved!

This problem is blowing my mind.

You mentioned the clutch so I assume you've already been looking at it, but certainly in 5th gear you are putting the highest torque (relative to rear tire load) though the clutch. I think, if you haven't already I'd focus all my attention there (maybe add a plate to the stack and see what happens).

    Two Stoke Pipe Repair

Pit and George, Thanks, I'll give Parma Dave a try, my pipes aren't nearly that bad, just pinched off and dented a bit. Both my PC pipes are the works models, which are also a pain to keep from rusting. I'll just keep my eye on ebay and craigslist for a decent deal on a platinum 2. Jay

    Two Stoke Pipe Repair

Who is everyone using to get thier pipes fixed? I've got a couple beat up Pro Circuit pipes from my YZ250 to straighten. I've sent them once to Pacific Coast with good results, but since this seems to be becoming such a common occurance, I was hoping to find someone closer with less shipping...

    Favorite local rider.....

Lots of different era's here, Pustalak and Robinson were mentioned, so we also get Al Pizzano(sp?) in there too and both of the Hand brothers. I also was a Yankee Lake the day Jeff Hicks was there. I remember watching him endo trying to double the two large single jumps just after the start...

How to: Get that crisp like-new feeling throttle

Ditto to most all the stuff mentioned so far, the only thing I do that I haven't seen mentioned yet is I've always used powdered graphite in the throttle tube. The other thing is I don't ride in mud very often, it gets my skirt dirty...

    Shoulder Surgery, Successful?

I was hoping I'd find out that the recovery could be accelerated, but so far the Therapist is saying 4 - 6 weeks of passive motion before I start doing any load bearing. I think he is just quoting standard protocols though. I'll also see what the doctor has to say, I go for my follow-up on the 31st.

    Shoulder Surgery, Successful?

I seem to have gotten off easy. They didn't have to do a complete re-atachment. What I did have was three pieces of calcified ligaments (tick tac size) that floated around and did quite a bit of damage. Surgeon indicated that I'll probably need a joint replacement later in life, but for right...

    Shoulder Surgery, Successful?

Ha.. I like the the "dull ache but tolerable" description better than the "pain was terrible". I vote for the dull ache Jay

    What is Your Job?

25 years ago, because I didn't think I could support a family and still ride without a better wage, I quit my plant job to go back to school for Mechanical Engineering . There are plenty of other routes people take, but this one has worked for me so far. The skills you pick up from racing and...

    Shoulder Surgery, Successful?

So my situation is… I’m a plus 40 senior rider that just had an MRI come back indicating a 80% tear in my rotator cuff. I’m looking into surgery, but the recovery period (6 months) seems awfully long. I’m guessing there are at least a few out there that have been through this, and my question is...
