If you had a choice, and why?

I had a Yoshimura pipe on my 2010 RMZ250 and didn't have to do anything.Suzuki gives you 3 different mapping plugs (lean, regular, rich) that are very easy to change and do make a difference.

Okay, thanks for all the input. Now the second part of the question. 250 4 stroke or 250 2 stroke. Given a choice what would you choose, and why?

250 2 stroke for sure. way more fun to ride, easier to work on, cheaper to fix when stuff goes bad.. (less moving parts, less chances of stuff going bad).. 250 2 st races against 250 4 stroke.. the 2 stroke has the advantage there...

the only thing better about a 250f compared to a 250 is the 4 stroke is definitely going to be easier to ride than the 2 stroke.

This should be the answer found in Websters, and for WIKI...

it all depends on what your going to do with the bike. if your going to competively race u should buy the fourstroke. its just a better, more advanced, easier to ride bike. if your just a weekend warrior buy the two stroke. they are more fun and cheaper to maintain. if u go with the two stroke buy a ktm. way more advanced than the yamaha.
